# About me

BUY A 3D PRINTED MODEL ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ladies and people!

Currently completely obsessed with 3d printing.
I have my own 3d printer and I've been designing action figures for a few weeks now. I've designed characters for 3d games for a few years.

My finished print-ready and tweaked models are:

Void Trooper (A robot alien like army builder soldier)
Battle Damaged Void Trooper (A robot alien like army builder soldier with face and alternative weapon)
Galactic Amazon Sha'Kiva

Check them out in the gallery!

Both figures I designed to be in scale with the Masters of the Universe Classics toy line and other
6-7" toylines.

The figures come in white ABS plastic, the ones I print on my 3d printer do need some sanding and painting to look the best.

WANT TO BUY a 3d print?

That's possible, I don't ask much, the figure comes unpainted (since I still need to learn how to paint).
Let me know if you are interested, I can make more photos or a small clip for youtube, so you can have a better look. White plastic is hard to catch with a photocamera.

About Sha'Kiva:
Sha'Kiva is a galactic amazon warrior. I designed her because I love action figures, but the female action figures all have the almost exact same body type. Where guys can be slender, normal, muscular or monsterous like the Hulk. Females tend to all look the same. So I created Kiva, a curvy and strong lady. Recently I've also made her muscular. Like He-Man with arms just as big, why do women need to have smaller arms anyway?
For the new Sha'Kiva I've also designed more armor and made it so that you can swap between the Amazon version and the Galactic Amazon version.
With 3 weapons, a retro futuristic laser pistol, a battle axe, a mystic long sword and a shield Sha'Kiva can do battle with the evil Void army.
All her weapons and shield can be holstered, I like my action figures to be able to hold their stuff so she can to.
The side holsters can be removed.

Sha'Kiva's unique points:
1. Original design
2. Curvy female action figure
3. Muscular female action figure
4. Swap between Amazon and Galactic Amazon
5. Holster all the weapons and shield

Want to own your very own Sha'Kiva?
It's possible :), I can print you a copy myself.
As soon as I figure out if having it printed by Shapeways is smoother then
that will also be an option (but it will be more expensive).

Let me know if you're interested.

COMMISSIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the moment I'm open for commissions, have a design yourself that you'd like to see
in 3d and printed?
Do you want a Sha'Kiva with your own designed weapon? Or a Void Trooper with your
gun?
Drop me a message and I'll see what I can do.

On to the old 'about moi' text bit:

BIO TIME ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome Nan's Deviant Art page thing.
Here I post most of the stuff I made.
I'm a graphics designer, love to make games, 3d models, drawings, and all sorts of creative things.

3D printing
Recently I bought the Up Mini, I worked with it at my previous job and it's a great 3d printer. And since it was on sale, I got it a few weeks later.
And within a week I used up all the 1kg on ABS plastic, few days later the second roll was finished.

At the beginning it was mostly the printing of lady action figures.
The first one being Kiva, now she's a big and curvy for a reason.
Almost all female action figures have the exact same body type, slender.
I was, and am, kind of bored with that. So I modeled Kiva.
Second one is Chezza, she's a bit more standard, little top heavy for
obvious reasons. She also runs around in a small 3d game demo I
made a few months ago.
After making the standard Kiva and Chezza model I started making variants.
There's the Hero Chezza, inspired by Casshern (fav movie ever).
Demon Kiva is just, demonic. And an agent version of Kiva and Chezza.
Otherwise I'd only have nude or mutant figures. These are the slightly more
normal versions.

And after those two and their variants, I made a third female with a very
normal body type, Olyfka. She doesn't have any variants yet, but does have
a hand set with guns.

Void Troopers!
After I was done outing my inner frustrations (you don't say...), I started
designing an alien robot. It had to be a generic looking dude with weird
limbs. So I designed the disc like arm with tubes.
And I just kind of winged the gun, turned out as if a shotgun was mixed
with a tommygun. Whatever, they carry it well.
And I wasn't sure how much I could print with one roll of ABS filament so
I printed two with their gun, the third one with no weapons.
Then I printed the two arm mounted blades which they also have.
After that I printed the third one's standard gun, and I have like 40 cm
left of ABS cord. So 1 kg of ABS plastic can bring a maximum of three
Void Troopers with their guns and one set of battle blades.

Next up
I still have a design for a cannon for the Void Trooper.
And have some ideas about two different types of soldiers.
The Trespasser, a more slender version of the Trooper.
The Tracker, one that can also stand on all four limbs in
some sort of a tiger like stance.

Yes, still need to learn how to paint. But currently busy with a new 3d model, and a little more finetuning on Sha'Kiva.

do you sell/plan on selling 3d print figures? just curious since some people on da do that.

NeraNanda In reply to zoron246 [2014-09-13 16:37:03 +0000 UTC]

Hi, Yes I plan on selling who ever wants them.
I have an Up Mini 3d printer, it's 200 micron (2 mm layer thickness)
If anyone wants one printed with my 3d printer just message me!
At the moment I'm fixing out the minor kinks.

I'll also having this model printed with a more expensive 3d printer
at the local lab and see the difference.Β

Shapeways also has great 3d printers from what I've heard, but that'll
be a bit more expensive.

Thanks, just sprayed one dude black. But still needs one more coat.Β
And got me some rougher sandpaper.Β

WireMonkey In reply to NeraNanda [2014-09-05 05:34:36 +0000 UTC]

If i can give you an advice take 2 types of sandpaper: one soft and one rough. Rough to put the big mistake off and soft to make a softer render after the rough passage. Just with rough you will have little marks on the figure and the soft will make it better.

Thanks
Not that much, just normal understanding of any 3d software program (I use 3dsmax)
And you need the printer, I used the Up Mini, and will buy one next week I think.

WireMonkey In reply to NeraNanda [2014-07-12 13:58:09 +0000 UTC]

Is it expensive? Difficult to understand? I really have no knowledges about 3D printing but I'm sure it will improve my work !

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NeraNanda In reply to WireMonkey [2014-07-12 14:29:06 +0000 UTC]

No, well. It can be.
Normal small 3d printers are around 1500 euro's (probably also dollars).
But the Up Mini recently went on sale for 640.Β
A roll of fillament is about 25 and you can make a hell of a lot out of one roll.

Learning 3d modeling isn't hard. You just have to find the tools in the program like extrude and cut.Β

You can create almost anything you want in 3d, that's the fun part

Jazeker!

Succes ermee!

grtz, Fernando
