Ah, you Brits and your SOCCER. *runs away*
Take your time. Gallery ain't goin' anywhere. Maybe one of these years I'll add something new. The Snarl pic needs updating, at least, but since my current other-than-work 'Net source has dA filtered due to pr0n...meh.
And you're welcome. Your art is lovely, though of course I have partiality for the robots...

Awww thankyou I like the Snarl pic
Soccer, I'll soccer you missus.
It might be worth asking the library to review the DA block thing, I mean I know you can't do anything about prats hacking into peoples acocunts but most folk play fair and rate anything 'inappropriate' for general viewing.
Anyway must dash as there is another FOOTBALL match on (England!)

Well, as it turns out I'm probably going to be getting Internet at my place sooner than I thought (I wanted to wait until the late fall) because I've got some remote web work to do for an ex-employer of mine who's moved across the country and wants a new website and will pay me well to make him one. And, I don't want to be limited to working on it at the library, so...yeah. I won't have to worry about the DA block for much longer, I don't think.
So...Did England win? I confess that I can't stand sports, so I have no clue about these things...

No, they drew with the US. Great result for America - a popular story here has been that one of your newspapers had the headline 'USA Win 1-1'
I'm Scottish though, and according to stereotype I shouldn't have wanted England to win
I like football, rugby, athletics and most winter sports hehehe. I blame it on going to a 'sporty' high school (although I was terrible at sports, was a bit of a geek (and proud) at school) and also my other half brainwashing me into liking footie

Hey, for us Yanks, anything that isn't a loss is a win. Suck it!
Scottish, eh? Well, that makes you excellent, of course! Far superior to the Sassenachs, and almost as excellent as you be if you were Irish. (Which I am. Well, I was born there and spent many summers there, anyway. Mum is Irish.)
I don't like sports mostly because I am a klutz and suck at them. So, I never developed an interest. I will watch American baseball, sometimes, but that's about it. I was too busy being an ubergeek in school.

Oh cool, my grandfather was Irish, from near to Letterkenny It's not uncommon for us west coast Scots to have Irish relations though god only knows what was so attractive about Scotland (perhaps all the smart ones went west for some sunshine hahaha) Where in Ireland are/were you?

NightyIcons In reply to lmmdi [2010-06-18 18:46:49 +0000 UTC]
I dunno...Everyone raves about Ireland, but I like Scotland better. It's more...rugged. And it has mountains. (Not like we have 'em here in Colorado, where they're 14,000 feet tall and snow-capped until mid-July and then snow-capped again in mid-August, but mountains for the British Isles!) Ireland's green flatness gets monotonous when it's all that you see. So I've always said that it's a nice place to visit, but...
I was born in Portmarnock, which is a coastal town northeast of Dublin, but my family actually comes from and a good portion still lives on the Aran Islands. Inishmaan, specifically, where members of my family comprise about 20% of the island's population. That's where I spent most of my summers as a child/young teen, at my grandparents' little cottage farm thing. And that's where I learned Irish Gaelic, though I remember hardly any of it now. I used to play some fiddle at the pub there sometimes. 'Twas fun.

The Aran Islands are beautiful. Inspired a lot of Irish mythology I believe My fathers family are from not far way from there, or did I say that already? Some near Letterkenny and others over to the west
If you ever come to Scotland, you should look for 'Schiehallion' (the Fairy Hill), its the centre of the country and a stunning mountian. Or then there is 'Buchaill Etive Mhor'... heheh I'm biased though I love Scotland.
I don't speak any Gaelic, Scots or Irish. I should make the effort to learn

Ah, I probably pissed you off about something. I have a habit of doing that to people.
I've been doing pretty well. For most of the past six weeks or so, I was pretty sick with quite severe sinus and ear infections, severe enough to be almost completely deaf in both ears for about two weeks, and that's still not 100%. But I'm on the mend now. I think. I hope. Sickness totally threw off my groove in all things creative, but I'm trying to get it back again.
