oh, cuz i use black construction paper and oil pastels, and the pastel is really hard to blend without the paper ripping, are the pastels you use better?

Well, dry pastels blend more easily so yeah, I guess they are better in that respect. I certainly do not rip the paper while drawing, in any case^^
