# About me
As an artist, I revel in the creative process. Sculpting has afforded me a means of expression and provided me with over four decades of never-ending trial and fascination. Inspired by the animals I have come to know through the years, my art is motivated by my desire to capture and express that "spark" of personality with each individual work.As a self taught artist, I have developed personalized mixed media techniques using polymer clay and paint combined with natural fibers of wool, alpaca, cashmere and silk to create my lifelike animal replicas. The majority of my work is fashioned in the traditional dollhouse miniature 1:12 scale (one inch = one foot) and is expressly designed to reflect a personal encounter or endearing memory that will delight the heart and bring a smile to the face of the observer.
Internationally recognized among dollhouse miniature aficionados, my 'furry' little animals can be found in many private collections, on permanent exhibit in museums showcasing small-scale art, and featured in a number of hobby magazines / ezines.

I just spent the better part of an hour meandering through your gallery. Your sculptures are AMAZING. The ewe sheep especially, the detail in it is incredible, if someone told me that was an actual sheep zapped by a Shrink Ray I'd be inclined to believe them!

Thank you for viewing my gallery.Β I really should make more 1:12 scale dogs as that is what I used to sculpt most before switching to the dollhouse miniatures.Β Dogs used to be one of my favorite animals to sculpt as you can put so much expression in their body language and faces.

Well, I think its funny because humans and dogs have been around each other for so long, we communicate so much with them through our body language (in both directions). So, it's natural for us to see and feel that in a well done sculpture.Β A little like how I love to do hands -- it's a very natural part of our communication, and full of all kinds of rich subtlety.

Thank you.Β I can no longer accept requests for custom sculptures as I am already over-booked about two years in advance.
If I have any free time, I prefer to sculpt what I am inspired to make vs. always having something on my to-do list.

It took me quite a while to see that your mini-sculptures are very well done but something distracted me!
I know how difficult it is to take photos at that scale, but hey....

I do not know what you mean by "enhancement" or what 'distracted' you?Β If you are talking about the whiskers and eyebrows on the cats/kittens - those are real and not drawn on - sheesh that would be simple!
I have been photographing my miniature sculptures for about 30+ years and have never 'enhanced' the photos.Β Why would I want to enhance a photo?Β I sell my sculptures not my photographs.Β
Yes, I agree, it can be challenging at times to get the perfect photo that best represents the sculpture to a potential collector(s).Β Since most of my work is purchased by photo representation vs. live and in-person inspection, I make sure that what you see in the photograph is what you will be receiving if you purchase the work.Β Most individuals who have purchased my work have actually told me that the piece looks better in person than in the photographs.Β Β

Well if you can prove nothing is wrong then we are fine! Well it might be the software you are using or a browser related script.
I think I should apologise at this point... as I would have to upload my screenshots. Those might show you are using software that delivers reduced pictures at the cost of quality! Nothing more!

Why do I need to 'prove' anything?Β These are simply low-res pics of artwork shared in my DA gallery.Β I do not sell my photos or allow them to be downloaded for art manipulation purposes so quality is not an issue here
