I would like to acknowledge a comment you posted on one of my submissions, the one of my orca with the half curled fin. I would like to say that I apologize for using this photo without permission, and that I had absolutely no idea it was your photo. I did not find that picture on the link you had sent me, I had found it on another website. I promise you I would always ask permission before using a reference picture, and if you would like me to remove the image, I will respect your wishes. Thank you.

If this is the website, I had found it here under "Ulises".
I just found this site and I noticed that people had submitted their own pictures of each individual whale but I was under the intention that they were for public use. I did't see any notice that states you have to ask permission. If I missed it, could you please point it out, I do NOT want this to happen again. I can say truthfully that this was an honest mistake (I'm 15, pardon me) and I don't want to go around using reference images and not asking permission prior to using. Thank you.

Yeah... it says on the bottom of every page of photos there to not use the pictures without the photographer's permission. =/ So if you open Ulises' page and scroll down to the bottom, you'll see it.

Oh okay. I see it. I've never noticed that before. Again, I apologize. I have stated in my description for the image that I used a reference image, if this changes anything. =\ unless you want me to take it down altogether.

Also, just on a side note, my multimedia teacher told me that as long as I change the overall picture and its not exactly the same, and as long as i don't claim it as my own or make profit off of it, I can safely use an image for reference. =\
I guess that all changes as soon as you discover the note "Do not use without permission"?...

You can leave it up, just a note with it saying "____ photo used as reference."

But yeah, in the future, it's always polite to ask a photographer before any use.
