If you sculpting with super sculptey,you can use industrial alcohol to brush the surface

Got a long way to go before I'm anywhere near what you're doing, but it's a start...
It is interesting working with it. My hardest part is getting the surface smooth. Also, I've got to get good at making the framework underneath, so I don't go through the stuff like water. I'm used to using anywhere from 1 to 15 pounds of clay on a single piece. Can't afford to do that with the polymer clay!!

You can use the industrial alcohol for snooth,just brush with it.Yea super sculpy is ues for small things,it can be made good details

Ah! I'll have to try the alcohol.
I have some small clay tools, but may add more. Don't know if the wooden tools are OK, or if you really need plastic tools, so they don't bind to the clay.
What material do you use for larger pieces?

Well, I finally bought a pound of Super Sculpy!! Any hints on how to use it, especially with armatures or crumpled aluminum foil to fill in more of the bulk?
