# About me
I have a good life and am a full time working artist. I do mostly fancy metal work and sculpture now but have done and still do a good bit of photography.You can make a living as an artist but you have to work hard at it and in hard times need to make things that are useful. Pure art in and of itself does not sell well when the economy is not so good, so find a way to make art that has a purpose beyond pure beauty. IMHO

I am out of the shop because the only shop I have access to is by taking a class over and over again. They do not offer the class in summer. I am hoping to sell enough to set up my own shop. Seems like that dream will have to be in my sleep only. I once figured out that I have only been welding for about 3 months...that is sad. I am glad you liked the piece.

Yep, I get it. I built my shop piece by piece over many many years. I is a grand adventure getting tools and packing them around as a young person and getting better at using them and learning new skills. I am 50 now and started with a forge as a young teen and at times, like now, make my living at it. Many farm sales and afternoons with some cool old coot of a craftsman. I hope you have 1/10 of the fun I have had over the years making it happen. You have a good eye... Keep up the adventure!

I used to do a good bit of redesign in the dark room but most of my stuff I just see it in the field or have a pic in my head before I even shoot it. At some point I need to put some of my good stuff up. I got burned out a few years ago by a couple of inappropriate a holes here so I took almost everything down but they seem to be gone now so I should put some back up.
