1PM! And it's in Pavilion No. 10. Let's see, I've cosplayed Marceline from Adventure Time. Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service. Susan Sto-Helit from Hogfather. Kurow from Okamiden. The Scythian from Sword and Sworcery. Genderbent Freddie from Scooby Doo. Aaaand I'm working on a Meg from Hercules costume. Also, Tim Burton's take on the White Queen from Alice and Wonderland for the tea party. There might be some others I missed, but I think that's it.Β

Is there any cosplay requirements for the meet? Or no cosplay at all? cuz I only have one finished one..and it's homestuck. Though i do have a few wigs and parts, i suppose i could throw together a closet cosplay.

No requirements. You can come in costume, or not. Casually or formally. If you're going to come in costume, Alice in Wonderland ones tend to be better, but like I said; no requirements.
Oh! I almost forgot to mention to bring a finger-food to share. We're expecting some 50+ people, so we gotta feed them all somehow. Haha.

It's great, huh? We did a LOT of advertising to try and attract as many as we can. Not all of them will cosplay, I'm sure. But it's a start.

What's your take on cosplays through steampunk? Because I've been working on a steampunk Castiel (supernatural) And It's my first time doing a fullblown steampunk cosplay.

I really love steampunk, although steampunk costumes have gotten a bit generic over that past year or two. Especially girls costumes, with the corset + bustle skirt + mini top hat + a few gears here and there. However, I've seen loads of crazy awesome steampunk cosplays (I saw an AMAZING steampunk Cat Woman once), and I plan on doing one (or more) myself, eventually (steampunk Rainbow Dash from MLP:FiM. And maybe Marceline from Adventure Time. And maybe a few more, I don't know). It can really add a cool spin on an otherwise over-cosplayed character.
TLDR;Β Steampunk Castiel sounds pretty sweet!

Check thrift stores. They usually have loads of cheap old patterns, and vests are super easy to modify if the pattern isn't quite right. Alternatively, you could buy a jacket and seam-rip the sleeves off.
