I don't mind it because it's all I know, I'm comfortable and familiar with it. . .it just sounds so boring to tell people thats where you're from, especially if you've lived there your whole life.

i know what you mean though..i did a large drawing of a dragon and near the time i was done, i scarred the paper with the spikes on my wrist band( i don't have the wristband anymore). i was steamin' mad!!! The drawing turned out well... it is COMMUNION (in my gallery)

The wristband sounds like something I would do. Oh yeah, I can relate.
Well I would have to say you did a pretty good job of pulling COMMUNION off!
I am hopefull, once again. I put too much fixative on mine. It was a sanded black paper. I kinda melted the coating in spots...whoops.

I notice you are a woman who likes to fish. We are a rare breed on dA indeed. I don't get to do it much these days because I now live smack in the center of MI. But back when I lived close to the lake shore, pike fishing in a canoe was always a big grin.

ooooOOOO....PIke!!! YUM!!! The only thing is those bones!! They are nasty looking fish! Teeth and all...i like catching them though. They put up a pretty good fight! Now the catfish are good too. i just caught a 4 or 5 pound catfish this past weekend. i think they are amazing! They have such interesting mouths. And the insides of them are very similar to human insides. (i cut one open to find out what it had been eating---it helps to know what kind of lure/bait to use).

Thank you for your kind words about COMMUNION! i worked for a very long time on that one. i can see so many mistakes in it because it was from a long time ago (more than 20 years) i can still see the marks. i am glad that you like it, though!

Oh yeah bones, They do have a strange skeletal structure. But I always thought they were soooo worth a little bone picking.

Big teeth. I've had few cuts from them alright. Fighting a pike while trying not to tip your canoe over can be quite a challenge. Catfish huh? I'm jealous, its been too long for me. they are so prehistoric looking. Too fun.
