Like, wow....
So, I was looking around my archived images and came across a folder of some of your work that I'd pulled down from 2003 or so. I had been so impressed with your professionalism and style at the time, and then...well...time passes. But today I asked myself, "Wonder what his work is like now?" and so I googled...and was, well, not surprised to find you here with all the rest of us on dA. So I took a good, long look at your gallery, saw a few images familiar from years ago...and then whole slews of things I had never seen.
It's such a delight to view the skills and talents of an accomplished artist at work on an illustration, with a clerar purpose and a solid aesthetic effect. And it's a special delight to see that artist experimenting with, learning from, and paying homage to fine artists of the past, some of whose styles I know really well (like Caniff and Elvgren). You've absolutely made my day, and I'm simply grinning ear to ear.
I'm sort of wondering why your bondage images aren't posted here, but then I suppose that's a trap for a pro, and you'd just as soon not attract that audience. Fair enough. But they were lots of fun.
And, of course, I love the portraits. I'm an old guy myself, old enough to have seen some of those Monroe films on first release, and I'm an old movie fan, anyway, so all the Rogers, Harlow, Loy, Brooks, etc. films you're referencing are making good connections with me...not to mention "Island of Lost Souls," which is probably one of the campiest films I've ever seen, even knowing the story it was based on.
In any case, thank you much for sharing your work with all of us here. Good to know that you've got a presence on dA.
And best regards!
Oh, one more thing. I've run across work by an artist named Traci Mota. The images look almost identical to your style, and I'm wondering what the relation is. Is it you under another nom de plume? Or someone entirely disconnected from your own work?

Thank you. Yes, Traci Mota was a nom de plume from years ago.Β Atomic Art backwards. People thoughtΒ I was a woman. Kind of funny in retrospect.

Aha!
Thanks for the clue-in. Y'know, I never did grok the backwards spelling. Must be getting old.
Yeah, it's the "Traci" spelling that could make for that assumption. But your humor is definitely not female, and your scenarios are not typical of a femdom perspective, so I would not have concluded that you were female.

Just wanted to thank you for continuing to post, for having GREAT talent, and for deciding to mention earlier inspirations, a la Dick Sprang and Gil E.
