Nah, you're not a relic...just a guy who may have gotten overwhelmed with life in general...trust me; I've been going through similar stuff between the forced overtime and my girlfriend's illnesses.

But don't sell yourself short, dude...I've got a feeling you'll be surprising yourself again...in fact, I might have a special mental image for you, with a draconic character you may have heard of....

They've been really stressful and hectic. It's been quite a while since we last talked (mainly my fault for not using G-Chat), hopefully we'll be back to catch each other sometime soon.
And hey...I feel like doing some epic sketches or drawings. Maybe you could help with some ideas.

I think I do...but apparently it isn't the full version, the guy I got it from gave it to me in 2 setups and I ran both but one overlapped the other so I dunno if it works to its full extent.

'Twas a very busy Friday, complete with a 7-hour final rehearsal for a performance I've got tomorrow, running the entire day. It will be a hectic weekend for me indeed!

It really does suck to keep hearing you in these kinds of situations, to be frank. Every single comment I see, it's like "damn...can't this guy ever get a break?"

**Chuckle-Sighs** It's kinda why I haven't posted much in my DeviantArt Journal since last time....things LOOKED like they were finally going to get better...and then BLAMMO right back to where I started, or even further set back.

The whole situation reminds me of a comic that I've seen in the New York City newspapers...I think it's in national syndication now: Born Loser, and the main character, Thornapple, he just can't get a break either...his wife pecks him half to death, his kids think he's a joke, his neighbors completely crap on him, and he can do no right in the workplace or in life in general despite his best of intentions.

I'd like to think I've got a few less "Born Loser" moments than Mr. Thornapple, but sometimes it's hard to believe that.

So, I sit back and dream...and hope that my diligence and determination with somehow, some way, actually pay off...Hell, it took me nearly two and a half years for me to land a position higher on the totem pole at work when other people (eye candy or ass kissers) flew by me from hire to specialist in just six months...the funny thing is just three months after I earned the position we found out the site was closing down...so it wasn't the springboard to the next level I hoped it to be...but a mad scramble to just find a job someplace...I managed to get another break by landing myself in the Government Contracts, but I've found the politics there are far worse.

What can I say, really?

Born Loser...do my damned best to keep that tag from attaching itself to my face...sometimes succeed...most of the time I get pwned.

If I learned anything about this lifetime, I've learned this: I can be patient...I can wait for my opening or take the time to make an opening that won't collapse....

I'm sure I'll be saying that to the day I die...and the epitaph will read:

I Can Wait...

It'll be a LONG time before that, I hope....so maybe I have time enough to turn things around...**Smiles a bit**

Sorry for rambling...I'm getting all philosophical and zen-motorcycly on you...and come to think of it, anyone who stumbles on this...not that I hide much...I'm a pretty genuine guy.
