OF COURSE!! Solids, pastels, printed patterns, and something I really like to use- wrapping paper! Often, I fold a lot of stars in a sitting, which is hard on your fingers, but with wrapping paper, it's light and easy to work with, and keeps a beautiful shape and gloss. :3
Yes, yes, life goes on as you're off making other plans. =u=; It can sometimes be hard to actually sit down and just draw with everything going on around you.. e.e;; It's worth it when you create something you're proud of though. >u<

Mhmm! It's really nice to work with. =u= Ah, yes, I do fold paper cranes. I.. don't know how much I have though. "OTL I wanted to make 1000 for a wish, but I'm nowhere near that.. I'm more of a origami star person, but they're still fun! I work on a lot of different origami things. =u=
Yesssss. I doodle in class too. Like, all the time. I have 3 full sketchbooks from this 2010-2011 school year alone! It helps me concentrate and focus on what my teachers are saying (as one of them used to literally talk all class long, for days and days) and keeps my mind from wandering into lala land. xDD

Though then again, I had a reason to give up then, because they all vanished somewhere. >: But, you do lots of origami then? D: I'm jealous! I'm really bad at origami, because it's so methodical XD

Though to be fair, a loto f my doodles get lost in the sands of time, since they go in my school books and all over my notes.. 'OTZ There is no escape from my endless doodles. I look to my schoolwork for pictures more than my sketchbook at times.

Ah, maybe. xDD In grades 5 and 6 I used to draw on the backs of my assignments, and a lot would get lost.. but when I went to junior high in grade 7, that changed.. I thought being more organized would do me well, so I got a sketchbook for all my artwork. Been that way ever since~ =u= I still have all those sketchbooks too! Great for seeing gradual progress.

Fair enough~ XD I'd just be paranoid about losing sketchbooks. I mean, on one level, the same applies if you keep them on loose sheets of paper, but on another level... At least then you only loose a doodle or two per sheet rather than a whole massive sketchbook. Plus I wouldn't want people looking through all my art. ¬¬;;;; Especially since some stuff is a little personal. ... Still, I DO keep sketchbooks. XD
I know it's not always easy to be unshy lD; It's just... Sometimes it helps when someone tells you that they enjoy speaking to you, you know? Otherwise you sit there thinking 'Ohgod what if they're hating the conversation and just trying to be nice to me D:' or something. Still - sometimes life as a shy person must have advantages, ne?

That would be a good idea! c: I think the hardest part, is actually starting to make them. Because when you start out, you think of your goal, and how little you have and ugh.. it gets intimidating and so you just end up stopping. So.. I'd say at least start! xD One thing I used to do, is set a weekly goal. Like, I want to make at least 20 by the end of this week. And if you do more, think of it as you're ahead of schedule and perhaps raise the bar a bit. Juuust a suggestion. xD
Mhmm.. a lot of people through the years have wanted to take my entire sketchbook to look through.. but hey, it's personal! Dx I mean, it's fine if they want to see one drawing, I could always just pick one out to share, but the whole book? e.e;; Not only would that take a while to go through, but it is personal.. I wouldn't want just anyone to see some of my drawings.
It's not easy.. .__.;; Yes, that does help a lot. It gives you a bit of reassurance that you're not imposing on them or being annoying. xD; Yup, it does have a few good advantages. Including the fact that you don't have to talk all the time. =u=

DX Yeah... I USUALLY don't mind it if they're people I know well, but if not, I want to show people specific works. 'OTZ But then it also depends on the sketchbook... Some of them don't have so much personal stuff in them, and I'm fine with people seeing them. But others, I literally tear out pages to keep them away from prying eyes. Nuuuuh. D8

Mhmm, I do write. o.o I often write from my own perspective.. things I imagine, exaggerations of the truth, or even bad experiences. =u=;; So I guess I write about me, I write fanfiction as well, about various series. Short stories and poems are my favourite. If you wanted to see a small sample, I have a piece of writing in my gallery. I enjoy writing about simple things, really. A lot of fantasy. c:

That's just... x______________________x /God/. I remember back in the day, I knew some bullies, and one time I left one of my drawings on the desk they scribbled all over it... Fortunately it wasn't a drawing I cared for, at a time where my art wasn't good enough to really be concerned about my pieces. But that memory stuck with me - just because it's probably one of the cruellest things someone has ever done to me by intention. Destruction of somebody's artwork is just despicable, and your experiences are a classic example of how little people understand what it means to create.

Yes.. a creation, even if you think it's not that good.. is still something you made. One time someone said they could "fix" part of my drawing for me. Now keep in mind, I draw extremely lightly.. they took my sketchbook and continued to add in a whole bunch of unnecessary things.. and they pressed really hard with their pencil too. I couldn't even erase it without leaving ghost lines.. .__. Needless to say, I threw out that page. xD;;
Mhmm.. it being over has made me much happier. Still can't get over the shyness though.. That effect from the bullying has stayed through the years. haha..

Even offering to fix a person's piece of work for them is just... ¬¬ Well, offering okay. But leaning in to draw it in yourself is pretty invasive, and I don't know many artists who'd let someone draw a piece of a picture for them. Redlines, not so bad - you don't follow redlines to the T, and it doesn't destroy the original artwork. But on paper? ... =/ That's just... Ugh. They're idiots.
Well, like we said, shyness has its upsides. <3 And one thing I've noticed - people who have been bullied in school, actually tend to be much nicer and more generous people overall than people who were never bullied. Whether that's because of the mentality of people who get bullied, or the fact that they've been bullied, I don't know, but... *Tips head* It's an interesting obvervation.

Hmm.. I never really noticed that.. but thinking about it now.. that would make sense. After being treated badly, as opposed to some people who say those kids become bullies due to 'revenge', I do believe they become nicer.. Because they know how it feels to be treated wrong, and only want everyone around them to be happy.. That's my goal, anyways. xDD;; Even if I don't care about myself, I only want my friends to be happy.

Yeah, same... 'OTZ I'll have lots of school to deal with, but that's part of the awesomeness of Nano! XD It's chaotic, hectic, and utterly insane and will drive you crazy with stress. And it's all worth it come December... Especially since my birthday is December the first.

It's odd, though. I mean, sure, it's true - a lot of strangers look at people on the streets and are all, 'o___________O What're they so happy for', but... Think about it this way: Imagine how you feel, when you see someone who's happy. Then realise, that feeling applies to a lot of people. People like to see other people happy, I think - that's the meaning of the word 'congratulations'~ Besides, being happy for yourself doesn't necessarily mean treading on other people, ne?
