Tripod. when shooting landscapes, waterscapes, or otherscapes <-- made that word up :) (Smile) try to always use a tripod. trees and water move enough without the added camera shake. your camera is a point-and-shoot not a SLR/DSLR right? Try using different ISO settings When you set it to Landscape, usually your Auto ISO should do the trick but every once in a wile you'll find that your not quite getting the shot right, thats when that will come in handy with your type of Sony
