Just the need to say you that, till today, nobody had said so nice and wonderful things about my "work" !!! .... You make me happy and, overall, thanks to you, you give me the wish to carry on .... You(re one of the nicest person I've ever "met" on the path of my life.... And I'm 58 !!!
Sure I 'll never forget nor you, nor your words.

Ah! I'm so glad you commented! I had a zillion tabs opened and accidentally closed yours out and subsequently 'lost' you.
Now that I can get to your page again, I can do what I had originally intended and watch you in turn

I've only just recently ( as in a few days ago) tried tinkering with watercolor and I am quite taken at how well you you manage to get a full image 'registry' whilst keeping things so elegantly simple. Particularly with the painting 'Capri'...Though I find myself quite taken with 'Ischia' for its restricted pallet and 'Girl on the Beach' ..Though that one strikes me for two reasons... Your simplicity and minimalistic brushwork, as well as capturing the (very *human*) awkwardness of the pose. Too few artists bother capturing moments like those and I tend to enjoy them quite a bit when I am lucky enough to stumble upon them

Β I hope you wont mind my tapping on your monitor now and again in order to pick your brain? I mean, it wont be any time soon (college takes up so very much of my time these days, dammit.) and I promise not to mob you or staple myself to your leg or anything But every now and again, maybe? To say watercolor is waaaaay out of my comfort zone would be a distinct understatement

You finally showed up!

I was wondering how long it would take before my favorite forum became my favorite conglomerate *g*

Welcome to DA, and thank you! I've not been here in forever, but its still nice to know that what IS here is at least worth looking at now and again

Keep my seat warm in the forums, will you? Am -buried- at the moment, but have goodies to share eventually that should make a dent in the clip art section. I miss it.

What's keeping you so busy? Up to anything interesting?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Stacey73 In reply to SpiralGraphic [2010-05-08 05:18:47 +0000 UTC]

Sorry it took so long to reply ( see also "busy" and "the kicking of ass thereof")

I am currently knee deep in the middle of making an entire bedroom set for a child complete with retro tricycle and a girly girl rocking bunny ( much cleaner in design than you initially imagine it to be, I promise )

There were 545 individual 3d parts modeled to make up 50 complete objects in total, including the walls, lights etc. I am in the process of texturing it all at the moment which is a monumental task for me as I am a mother to boys, not girls and damn, this is hard *g*

FORTUNATELY... I have Genetica, which I am abusing the hell out of for this project. Its been running almost nonstop for the last week now and I am no where near done with it.

...Have I MENTIONED how much I love this program? ( people, seriously. If you are into textures for whatever reason at all, do yourselves a favor and check these people out. I do not steer you wrong.)

Anyway, I'll likely slap up w.i.p's into the forum ( alas, I am not on Facebook or twitter, I am positively primeval when it comes to the internet. I use it for study, work and hang out either here, or in the Genetica forums. Thats it.

How is the whole conglomerate thing going for you?
