Since all my other friends seemed to bail on Animinneapolis, I winded up not going. I will be going to Metacon tho! I'm not really sure what to expect of Metacon, but I can't wait for Detour! What will you be cosplaying?

I've been decent, although things have been kinda boring lately. I've recently learned how to ride horse, so that is something lol. Going on a mule ride with my dad and sisters this weekend.
How are you doing? Out of curiosity are you from the Minneapolis area or elsewhere in the vast expanse of Minnesota (it seems like most people I met at detour are around Minneapolis)~

Hello!  

I understand!  I had to drive out to Wisconsin the weekend before, and it pinched my wallet, so there was no way I could afford AniMini.  I did hear lots of good things about it though, so I'd like to check it out next year.  

I think I will go to Metacon!  I just bought my ticket for Detour tonight, and I was debating on MetaCon, but then I saw that Chris Patton is attending, and I really want his signature on my Pretear box set.  Are you going to take pictures at Meta too?  I'm not sure what I should cosplay as since it is a mixed convention.  

For Detour next year, I will be cosplaying as Chii from 'Chobits' and Liz from 'Soul Eater.'  Do you like either of those series?  

Well that's cool!  I rode a horse once when I was young at a camp, but I haven't gone since.  I am doing well, thanks for asking.  My husband and I are saving up to go to Japan this fall.  We aren't quite sure when we'll be able to go, but I am hoping for October or November, so that it won't be quite so hot.  Have you ever been out of the country before?  

I do live around the Minneapolis area.  Yeah, most people that go to Detour are from this area, since we are closer to the cities and anime is more "accepted" here than it would be up north.  What about you?  Do you live in Minnesota?

If you do go to metacon and need a hotel room, my friend has been looking for some more people to split room costs with lol. I will be taking pictures at metacon (hopefully it will have as many cool cosplayers as Detour) And I recently spent a small fortune on new camera gear that will be awesome to try out with some cosplay pictures I've honestly never met any celebrities I cared about at a con before; the closest was the internet personality Linkara from Channel awesome who was going to Animinneapolis, I'm kinda sad I missed that.

I love Chobits! Soul eater seems really good too, but I had trouble getting into the story (maybe if I watched the Subbed version it would be better,). That is awesome that you are going to japan, I was actually considering going maybe next spring or summer. Ya, I am really glad I don't live in northern minnesota, it would be way too rural for me. I live an hour south of Minneapolis, although I am increasingly wanting to move into the cities; there is just nothing to do around my town.

Hey Trevor!  Sorry this reply is so late, I haven't been on deviant for a while.  How are you doing?  I hope you are doing well!  

How was MetaCon?  I ended up not being able to go.  I am still going to Detour though.  I will be doing Chii from Chobits.  It will be her artwork maid outfit, in pink and purple.  I'm also planning on going as Meroko from Full Moon O Sagashite since Arina Tanemura will be there.  I'm not sure what my third outfit will be.  I do have Stocking that I can bring as well as Tohru from Fruits Basket.  

Are you still going to Detour?  If you are, could we take pictures together again please? I also have a friend who will be going as Yuzuki from Chobits.  

I know, I want to move to the cities too.  My car should be paid off in August, so I'm hoping that my hubby and I will be able to move there around then.

and thankyou if you check out my stock account [link] , you can find all of my cosplay photos from Anime Detour 2013 (including some crappier ones,). i tried to make a point of photographing every interesting costume I saw, which turned into a lot lol

Thanks! tho I still have 200-300 more photos to upload, lol. I grabbed every good cosplay i could find and photographed them..turns out there were a lot of good cosplays lol. did you cosplay there?

Yes I did. I was Yuna, the one with all the makeup and I pretty sure I was the only one there with 2 different colored eyes... Possibly. I have my pictures on Facebook if you want to add me.

*scans thru all the Detour photos on the computer* ahh, i don't think I did i think i only got 2 yunas photographed: one was FFX2 Yuna, and the other didn't have colored contacts in...
