I can appreciate that you avoid drawing fanart, too. As much as I like fanart (... I found your page while looking for Kevin fanart...), I admit that I've been looking for someone who draws original pictures for a while now.

Drifting away from fan art is very hard (especially with amazing movies like Up! I can't resist drawing the characters xD), but I think it's a good thing to try - original artwork can be more creative, plus you actually own the full copyright to the work and can do whatever you like with it.

That's true. In my area, pet stores have been opening in malls. People can buy puppies from anonymous suppliers; the stores say the suppliers are reputable breeders, but you can never know unless you meet the person. :/ You don't get to see the whole litter, the parents, the papers... just seems too untrustworthy.
I think people get Chihuahuas because they've never seen or met a Papillon... if they have, Chi's would be out of the question. xD

Pet stores have always been in malls where I'm from. The 'reputable breeders' tend to be puppy mills 
Shows that they don't bother to do any research if they don't know what a papillon is doesn't it
sigh@people not doing the research before buying a pet. No animal is something you can just go out and buy without learning about its needs.

sadly it tends to be puppy mill papillons not the pretty enthusiast bred ones that are being bought...STIll soon people will learn...
(iv never been able to understand why someone would get an ugly chihuahua instead of a papillon! or at least an attractive chihuahua

Not much at PMF that I've noticed - it moved to Zetaboards and got a new layout, but it's been kind of empty. And I haven't been spriting much lately (heck, I think I forgot how to sprite... decently at least xD), more into doing non-pixel art at the moment.
