Why would you consider us Elitist? Because we only accept traditional work and no fan art? Those are merely two rules that make categorizing things easier. I've seen many other clubs with tons more rules than we have.
Or is it something else to which you are referring?

Why you say I am funny? This wasnβt a joke. It was an opinion. An opinion about Childrenβs Illustrations Clubs here on DA that Iβve seen so far.
I am not a childrenβs book illustration but I like to appreciate art- mostly I like to appreciate new artists- but it seems that Childrenβs Illustrations Clubs here on DA only want the good ones- the famous- and this I think is pretty sad, because how someone can improve if they cant even try?
But my apologies about my opinion.
And by the way, a fanart can be also a traditional art and vice versa.

I'm sorry, I thought it was a joke. You see we're one of the least biased clubs on DA, we only ask that the artist love there work enough to complete the basics, (example: scan it correctly, make sure it's finished before you upload it, make sure it's in the right category, etc.) which we feel any real artist would do anyway.
Also the comment could easily have been directed at TPG personally, considering it was on our front page and not in response to anyone, I wanted to make sure we hadn't gotten a bad rep about being "Elitist".
By the way, fanart is a category, traditional is a medium, just because a sketch is traditional doesn't make the fact that it is fanart any different, or acceptable.
