There was some discussion about that on the comments attached to deleted images *sigh* But we all die, and our body will be recycled in one way or another. The image shows the flies helping to recycle the gerbil - a vital process.
But even if I had *no* particular reason to post the photo - it should not be deleted just because somebody does not like it. :

Um. You could be right. I had thought that that paragraph applied to human corpses. But I could be wrong. I do not know why DA instantly locked the thread - the subject may well be of interest to others. It certainly puzzles me.

You're missing out, the forums are a lot of fun, just be prepared to be smacked around a lot the first month or so of posting. The first thread I posted was totally massacred
Since it's a policy inquiry all you really should do is post a message to the help desk, just one, and then wait. Same thing happened to me once, and yeah it took a while but they got back to me and were really helpful. The forums aren't meant to discuss things like that so threads about it will get locked pretty fast. If you're lucky you'll get an answer, but I'd not test the staffs patience. You could also go read up on the FAQ's regarding the policies, or post a journal and ask people for their opinion.
