I LOVE THE KATAMARI!
On the one hand, the pretty colours, funky music and simple gameplay appeal to the childish core of my being.
And on the other hand, it lets me turn all manner of small animals and children into huge, burning stars of unholy death. It's the best of both worlds as far as I'm concerned.
