Thanks. Well, my original subject area was in 3D animation, but I'm not happy with anything I produced. I have a first class degree in it, but in reality I was always better at being academic than truly artistic.

I've decided that I'm not going to improve artistically unless I go back to first principles and rebuild my skillset from scratch, and thought the best way to do that would be a return to sketching/scanning/retouching. Eventually I want to move onto digital painting and back into modelling.
