Hey there! I'm completely flattered you enjoy my art.
I use a lot of mix media from gauche paints, inks, pens and pencils. I guess I just kind of grab some paper and try layering different media and see what textures they produce.
I'm also very doubtful of my own work and end up painting layers over layers over layers until I'm happy lol. To be honest I have no idea what I'm doing, just pick a new medium and scribble it out. Sometimes it's a train wreck but sometimes you find a new style that just clicks with you. ☺

Right now I LOVE gauche paints. It's like acrylic x watercolour and when you water it right down you can create some nice blends and shades.

I see, I'll definately have to try so,e more mixed media, I used to do it a lot but I've been sticking to markers lately.
i really want to start watercolors and have the materials, I don't even know where to start with it though, would you happen to have any tips?

Add a small blob on a plastic palette and add water bit by bit and see how it reacts the more you water it down, Is how I tried it. Little goes a long way. Play around and make a hell of a mess lol. It was good fun. Make sure you use the appropriate paper when you want to really get going though. I made that mistake. I really have no idea lol but always end up with paint everywhere lol.

Alright, I'll try it out tomorrow, I appreciate the advice and hopefully I can get good with it one day!
yeah I know I've tried using normal printing paper with watercolors before and it worked as long as I didn't use too much water or go over the same spots too many times, I really need to get a watercolor sketch book or something soon when I'm better with it all! ;w;"

Yeah I done the same thing with the paper. I found if you drop a bit of paint in the wrong spot, if it's watered down you can absorb a lot of other with a cotton tip as well. Helps fix little mistakes. Looking forward to seeing how you go!

I've seem to have been over whelmed by Llamas. i very much LOVE this as Llamas are the definition of everything awesome, Alas, i am new to DeviantArt and i have no idea what receiving a Llama mean.
