Thank you for selecting the page of 'hands'.....as one of your Favorites. I don't do a lot of academic drawings these days.......I'm having too much fun...with my more ..hehe...spontaneous approach. The classroom studies were VERY important to me in terms of learing to see....(shapes, shadows etc). I remembered that one of my instructors told me to view shadows.......as shapes too. I found working on toned (middle grey) paper to really help me develope realistic studies. You'd be surprized how well your drawings would look by just using a dark (charcoal), a light (white conte) on a middle-grey paper. I hope you are doing well. ---Mike
