# About me
Hello !My name is Alain Mitildjan, and I live in France. I was born in 1990, in Cherbourg (France).
I work as a subcontractor technician for Airbus, in Toulouse.
I like to draw, especially without colors, because I don't like to color my drawings. I prefer to vary the shades of black and white to render my drawings realistic.

You're very welcome Wayne !
I am very good, a little bit busy by my 3 years studies for achieving my engineer degree. I can barely see the end of this
And You ? How are you, and your family ??Β

You have a good memory
Thanks a lot, Wayne !Β
I'm glad to know that everything is good about your family.
I do understand that it could be hard to leave your retirement, after all these years spent to teach photography.
Have you planned any project after your retirement ?

Hi Alain,
I guess age wise I have retired, but really I have not made any changes in my life.Β I no longer own the apartments, which is a relief and is the largest change I have made.Β I have been teaching at the college since 2006 and I have no plans to stop.Β It is not very intensive, the courses run only for 6 weeks, and are 15 hours in length once a week.Β So really this is like a hobby.Β And I like to help people learn how to become better at photography, so it is a win win... and I even get paid for it.
I have a new show called Pillagers of Light, all ready to go into galleries.Β I just have to contact the galleries and make arrangements... that seems like an impossible task... I have to stop procrastinating.

Hi Wayne,Β
Sorry for the late reply !Β
I'm glad to see that you won't plan to stop your Photography activity at the college.Β Β
And this is very nive to earn a little bit some money, through teaching in classes.Β
I just have finished a Beechcraft Bonanza drawing, in A1 format, which is a novelty for me. I was used to draw on A3 and I really like to draw on bigger sheets.
The rendering is so different as the A3 drawings.
Hope that everything still running well for you and your family ! Β

NP Alain
We all have busy lives.Β At one time I had hoped that my life would be less busy as I got older and retired.Β The truth is very different, there is always something that needs to be done.Β I will take a look at the Beechcraft.
I cannot say for sure, but it looks very much like some of the planes I flew on up north many years ago.Β I also flew on Beavers and Otters depending on the destination. In the north of canada there are very few roads so the only way to travel is by air.

That's completely true ! We all have some objectives in our lives, and sometimes it's hard to reach them, but we try constantly.
Thanks a lot for the favorite !!
It is possible, because some of them are still used in North America, and Canada. There are a little handful of them in Europe, but most of them are located in the US.
They are still made by Raytheon, on their factory at Wichita (Kansas).
I will try to pass exams for becoming an Airline pilot next year, in France. And if I fail my exams, I'll try to earn more money, in order to go to Canada to pass my Professionnal Pilot licence. Β

I remember that it was your dream to come to Canada and fly professionally.Β It is good to see that your dream is still alive.Β Good luck with your exams.Β I suspect that you will do very well onthem.

I'll keep my dream alive, and try to find ways to get it Β
Thanks a lot Wayne !Β
Sometimes, I'm feeling stressed during the exams, whereas there are no reasons to be that way. I try to figure out, to avoid this bad 'stress' to a good stress situation.
And what about you ? What was your dream when you were a teenager ? Β

WayneBenedet In reply to alainmi [2018-11-10 03:00:58 +0000 UTC]
hmmmmm.... that is a long time ago Alain.Β Mostly I wanted to help people.Β I became a social worker, then I did community development, then a director of a program for people with physical disabilities, finally a CEO for an organization who helped people with intellectual abilities.Β Through it all though,I wanted mostly to do photographic art, but this would not ay the bills.Β Now that my family has grown, I am able after over 40 years to do my dream, but I am tired from the struggle of life and it is hard to motivate myself to keep moving forward.Β We shall see what transpires.

Wooowww !!
Such a good life spent for other, and you could be proud of you Β
Nowadays, people are focused on themselves, and nobody would even talk to someone sat next to him at the bus station, for an example.
The humanity has been defeated by new technology
Have you helped autistic people ?Β
My sister had helped a disable person who was the son of our former neighbour, for 5 years, and she said that it was hard, but a good experience to do.
π: 0 β©: 1
WayneBenedet In reply to alainmi [2018-11-24 04:49:18 +0000 UTC]
I have worked with autistic people, but not as a direct worker.Β At that time I managed the organization that worked with a few autistic spectrum people.Β I always felt for the workers, they were over worked and always under paid.Β Rarely have I seen people who work to help others get fairly paid for what they do.Β It is just not a valued kind of work in our society.Β It is a bit better in the health system and in hospitals, mainly because of unions, but for more people, especially those who have mental or intellectual disabilities, their basic needs are met, but the people who manage the houses, and care for them are very poorly paid, it would in my opinion be difficult to live n the wages paid to people here in Canada who do that work.Β I tried for many years to make changes, and there were some small successes, small wage increases, health benefits and some pension money.Β I think what angered me most is that the people who control the money, the political bureaucrats always ensure they they are well paid with good health and pension benefits, but the agencies that they fund who do the actual hands on work are very under funded,

I take a lot of time on mine too...sometimes too much time, I think.
I love the B-70 as well, it still looks futuristic now, and it is almost a six-decade old design!
I have seen the surviving bird at the USAF museum in Ohio.
