Hey! Yes indeed! I am here for my graduation internship, i am working in one of the hotels here! Wow 7 years, impressive. I still find myself struggeling with the culture (only here for 3 months now) ! What do you do in DongYang?

The wife and I just opened a training school here. I'm also working on a novel, but I have no illusions about the likely success of that.

The culture shock gets easier (and then harder, and then easier, and then harder again, etc.). I still have days when I want to burn the whole country to the ground and start over ;) (Wink) I don't know what part of town you are in, but if you need to get "out of China" for an evening, Maya or 7 club are usually good choices (on the northwest side of downtown - addresses in More Magazine). You might even run into other dutch folks. I've met a few from time to time.

Novel sounds interesting. may i ask what it's (might gonna be) about?

Yeah i know, ups and downs you have everywhere but sometimes cultural differences can make the downs bigger when you dont feel at home or the ups higher when you remain in the 'honeymoon' fase but so far so good! thanks for the tips, those places are good, had already found them! ;) (Wink)

Well, I learned to read at two, and had read Tolkien by the age of 6. I just always enjoyed time spent in fictional worlds more than time spent in the real one. I still remember Harper Hall (Anne McCaffrey's Pern series) better than some of the apartments I lived in at college. I guess you could say I always knew I would be a writer - it's what I was made for.

I find is always admiring when people find their passion/talents at a young age. Too many people in this world do not know what they want or are afraid to fail while finding out what they are good at! I like the way you write by the way, the forming of sentences/combining words.. good luck with your book!

Yeah, the school is an English training school. We thought about a ping pong training school, but the students were all better than me. ;) (Wink)

The novel I'm working on at the moment is based on the "Brotherhood" short story in my gallery.
