I'm currently waiting for my recruiter to send me a job. I've already sworn in and everything, just gotta get word of a job opening, then I'll be on my way to bootcamp and tech school.
Then during my 4-6 years in the Air force, I can gain a steady income and invest into whatever education I need to get whatever career I want.
I really don't know what I want, though. I've been thinking maybe a teacher, pastry shop, or...something .-.

Well, you get trained to basically deal with life, you're put into shape, and with the Air Force you're automatically enlisted into the Community College of Air Force. They also offer tons of assistance when it comes to paying for school, but I can't really say much about it, since I never really studied them :T
BUT, the Air Force is definitely one of the more education-oriented branches. They need smart people on their side, so they're willing to help you achieve that higher level of education. In fact, my recruiter's also taking online college classes. He gets to do that AND still get paid for being a recruiter :I

If you're talking about post-tech school education, then yeah, it's a bit of a reward. You don't HAVE to take extra education, it's purely your decision.

It is! But the huge "downside" is that you gotta actually work your butt off at PT. And you've gotta follow all the ruuuurrus of the military, and that you're required to stay in the military from 4-6 years. But you're given a roof over your head and good pay, so that more than makes up for it! :'D
