I updated the Adobe Illustrator Comic and Manga Template. Check out the new version. It's backwards compatible through CS. I've also modified the American Standard Size and included an American actual print size.

It's me Bryan E.Warner from Penciljack,as you can see I'm also here on DA
Rendering is wath you put into a Drawing.Line weights,detail,shadows,the whole sheebang!
On your lighting...if you check around page 78 of Loomis's figure drawing for all it's worth.you will get a good idea.The main thing is to pick a direction of light and then stick too it.Dynimic lighting is just takeing your shadows to there extream.
There is a good book on Inking by Gary Martin " the Art of Comic Book Inking 2nd addition " this has a lot of good lighting tips,and how to use them also.( but so does Loomis )
Well,I hope this has been a help,sounds like your being kept pretty busy,don't negect your pencil my friend
