Hey!
Could I ask you something about your LeopardGekko?
How old can Gekkos be?
I would like to buy one, they are so awsome!
Can they life alone,or shall I buy two of them?
Greetings from Germany

yeah, it's good.
leopard geckos can live to be as old as 30 years. they are awesome! i will have had my Daisy for 13 years next week. they can live well alone. Daisy has never had a room mate. i just spend time with her whenever she likes. if you really wanted to have several geckos though, its hard to say cause a lot of lizards are very individual. it depends on the tank size... and of course, don't house a boy with a girl unless you want baby geckos, and it's probably best if you house a girl with a girl. that would have the most chance of them getting along since a boy with a boy in most species could lead to big showdowns... though i think my new beardie is a boy, (still young) but i am hoping he can live peacefully with my other boy beardie. so far so good.

Your so kind!
Thank you so for the very interesting informations
That makes it easy for me to do.
Are the leopard geckos tame?I mean,do they like to be touched can I hold it in my hand or on my arm?
Once I hold a (oh I know only the german word, sorry)Agame ,she like to sit on my shoulder and stand still and watch, and watch for a very long time

you're welcome. no problem. =]
it depends on the gecko really. some geckos dislike it. i imagine wild caught or grown geckos that haven't had a history of being handled would dislike being touched. i have had Daisy since she was a baby though, and always touched her, so she knows to trust me, and let's me pet her and hold her. so as long as they get used to you from a young age, then there shouldn't be any problem with handling them. depending on the lizard some may only like being handled for a couple minutes, like Daisy, but she isn't aggressive. just be careful about their tails, they can be delicate. agame? is that the red and blue lizard? i do love those. =]

I think so
Thank you so much for the informations, you helped me with that a lot !
They need a special home,a terrarium,with a special warming lamp,is that right?
What do they eat?
Grasshoppers,I think..?
Must I feed them once a day?
Sorry for my questions, but I will do everything right,BEFORE I get one

oh oh sorry for the delay!
yeah, a terrarium, and a heat lamp. a uv lamp is also good. different geckos can eat different things. like they like mealworms. theres also waxworms but those are fatty so those should just be once in a while. my gecko mostly eats crickets which should be pretty easy to get from pet stores. you can either put around 10 crickets in their tank and let them eat those over the course of a few days, or just enough for them to eat in one night. in that case do feed everyday. any idea when you'll be getting one yet? it's alright, i dont mind answering things. you can still chat me up about it when you got the gecko. oh and my gecko daisy turned 13 on the 21st. shes a teenager now. x)

okay. it's good to start with a young one so they know you from the get go. maybe ask to handle one before you make any final decisions so you know that the geckos don't feel threatened by humans. look for nice plump tails!
ohh, daisy has always been a bit crazy. she likes to climb on top of her plastic igloo house. she used to dance by wiggling her tail. i miss that! =]

Really?
Oh..that sounds nice to me
IΒ΄m thinking of the place to put her/his new home..must it stay darker in shadow or in near of a window,or is that the same?
Thanks for asking my stupid questions,IΒ΄m so glad of your instructions

the area depends on if you want the gecko to get the natural light in the morning and such. so long as the gecko has a good bedtime so it won't be disturbed too soon. i tend to let my lizards have their lights for 12 hours, and then sleep for 12 hours.
ah, the questions aren't stupid. it's good to make sure you cover all the basics before getting a lizard. =]
