i agree they could have, and should have been much better. Istanbul was beautiful, and i was so caught up in exploring, that i wasn't concentrating properly on my photography!

Hey G. Yeah I met Tim (who I shared the tent with) at the Edinburgh show on Saturday who said his mum had mentioned that an exRbge student had been in. "Oh yeah that'll be gemma...i'm sure she had nothing good to say about me."

He drove up with a car load of alpines to have nursery stall at the Edinburgh show. crazy.

It now the long wait for word on the Phd approval and wait to hear from the funders. Works ok. I get called "the Specimen kid". now as far as nicknames go that is extremely lame i almost meconopsis boy.

Glad you've go native and become a farmer...

i have to say i kinda liked meconopsis boy... and as for "nothing good to say" - stop fishing for compliments! ;0)

Their nursery is lovely, i bought an M. integrifolia and gave it to my mum, cause i couldn't leave it there... anybody could have bought it!

Wales is beginning to grow on me, the scenery is fantastic, too bad i'm rubbish at photographing it. If you ever get a chance you should come take a look (the floor in my flat is very... comfy), you'd love it - mountains, alpines, peace and quiet, oh and i'm sure there's a pub or two about the place somewhere ;) (Wink)

haha well i've been doing a good bit of floor sleeping lately so I'm sure I could deal with a Welsh floor.

Yeah so got the phd was rejected by the uni so thats a no go. I still have funding applications on the go so If score money I'll try somewhere else.

Went to the AGS show at Harrogate on Sat, finally got round to joining! Nice plants, but nothing out of the ordinary.

come to Wales whenever you need a break (really do! - Ad and I will take you up some mountains - i'm hoping to do Cadar Idris some time soon)
