Have you ever read "A People's Tragedy" by Orlando Figes? To date, it's the most illustrative book I've read about the period of revolutions from the late 1800's to early 1900's.
What vehicle is that in your DeviantID? I'm assuming it's somewhere in the Pacific... but the desiccation leads me to think Africa.

The vehicle is a picture of a japanese soldier's head on a tank in the pacific theater of wwII. Also, I have not read that book, but it sounds intriguing! Thank you very much for the suggestion!

There are even a few more books I could suggest. Perhaps you can suggest some to me, as well.
I don't recognize that vehicle! My guess is an M3 Stuart.
A female with your interests is rare. I already have a significant other, so this is not a romantic inquiry, but may I ask if you're around my area?

Im always open for reading suggestions! as for location....I'm in Syracuse NY...a loong way from Georgia. Sorry!
This month's National Geographic has a cool article about carvings soldiers did in the walls of tunnels in WW1. Very cool indeed!

Darn. Even when I visit my lady in NJ, that's still super far from the Finga Lakes region.
I'm from LI, originally.
That sounds fab! Such intensity, desperation, or boredom, driving those carvings. National Geographic rarely disappoints.
Wanna be facebook friends? I don't post much, but I frequently send interesting links and discuss things in messages.

Actually it looks like a Ke-Nu, but with my way of thinking it'd seem odd for the Japanese to carry the desiccated head of one of their own on a tank. On the other hand, it might make sense with their logic.

I have not seen Iron Sky yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
I wish you all the best on your Caramel Udo quest.
I've always wanted to write a film that explores all of these bizarre character traits...that I've invented for him.
We basically spend a weekend with him and it's really just a macabre insight into this warped world of a man who's a fascinating, otherworldly character.
Bless Udo Kier.
The man's a legend.

I couldn't agree more. I seriously would love to out just hang out with the man and do things like go grocery shopping and see how he interacts with people. He is a gem.
