" How did everything end up like this... ? "It has been months since she last visited Metal City. Everything had already been badly destroyed by the time she came. She wouldn't have acknowledge how damage the place was if she didn't came to check out. The city is deserted with no one, as if everyone is dead. Robots have occupied the place, scanning throughout the city in case there are still targets that are lurking in the shadows. Fortunately, she's completely prepared, armed with weapons to defend herself.
It was night time. Perfect. It would be easier to hide away from the robots. She is apparently hiding in an dark alley, and confirming if she got everything she need.
" I feel like I'm in World War II, how lovely, " she said sarcastically to herself.

"Gotta hand it to Eggman; this place has really gone to hell."Jet muttered under his breath, far too used to being on the run from the Battle Bird Armada to give a second about having to run from robots patrolling the city. The only difference was how dead, dead and empty, the city seemed now that this was all occurring."Did it ever occur to Sonic to actually stop this mess? God..."Not paying attention exactly to where he was, he almost panicked when he saw Frances. When he finally recognized her, he called out to her, but quietly."Frances? Is that you?"

She jerked up in shock when she heard someone calling her. Instinctively, she whipped out her gun, almost pressing on the trigger when she realized it was just her fellow old friend, Jet.
" J-Jet...? " she said softly in disbelief. Oh, how long has she never seen him? Well, not sure about it. She is happy to see him. She thought he was... dead. She was choking back her tears as she gasped under her palm.
" Y-You're alive!! " she cried out, raising her voice slightly.She dropped her gun and embraced him, wrapping her arms around him tightly. She felt... safe for some reasons. When she is isolated, she felt a sense of fear in her.

The hawk flinched, shut his eyes and raised his hands in overall-useless defense when she pointed the gun at him, not really ready to die. "Hey, watch where you point that thing! You're going to blow someone's head off that you don't want to!" Jet opened his eyes after she spoke, looking at her before grinning wickedly, in true Jet fashion. "Who'd you expect me to be? Wave? Ha, you wish Frances."
When she hugged him, he returned the gesture, holding her tightly and not letting go, hiding his beak in her shoulder and shutting his eeys once more. "Did you think I was dead? I've outrun the Battle Bird Armada; nothing's gonna catch me."

" I-I'm glad you're alright, " she said, sniffing as she looked at him in the eyes and placing her forehead against his, " For a moment, I thought I would be alone... "Her mind had soon relaxed. She huffed as she closed her eyes, and a little smile came across her expression. She is relieved to see that there is still someone around to accompany her. After a while, she released him, sweeping her clothes and clasping her hands behind her back.
" I... I've been missing you, a lot. Sorry for the sudden disappearance. Gotten really busy with works the last few months. But hey, glad to see you again! "

"It's gonna take a lot more than some hedgehog or scrap-heap robots like these to take me down," he said, keeping his eyes on hers. "You know that. Nothing's going to stop me, and there's no way I'm gonna lose."
Jet lets her back off, idly running his fingers through the white downy feathers on his chest. "To be honest... I've missed you too Frances. I'm not going to ask you what kept you, or tell you what kept me, but the point stands that at least we're both here now."

She smiled before noticing a guarding-robot went by the entrance of the alley. Oh, she nearly forgotten about why she came here for. Her expression soon faltered into a serious expression, with both of her eyebrows knitted.
" But what's going on here, Jet? The place is as if some Obscurus came by. Not gonna lie, I got zero idea. "She looked around in case anything is watching over them. She adjusted her jeans before speaking again.
" Crystal messaged me for help without even telling me what the hell is going on. She just told that some guy named 'Infinite' suddenly appeared out of thin air and started to wreck the place like a mad man. Are you all alone by yourself? "

"Well... you're not wrong. Infinite's a thing, and he's screwing things up, but that's about all I know. I'm just letting the hedgehog, mini-Sonic and the rookie deal with it until they say they need my help."
Jet ruffled the feathers on the back of his head. "Yeah, I'm alone. Wave and Storm were told to stay away from Metal City, so they've split."

" That's really terrible... " she mumbled softly as she ran her hand through her yellow hair. Recently, she got a serious case back then and it was solved, but she was pretty stressful because a lot of deaths were involved. Just when will this madness end? She sighed as she tugged her hands into her pockets.
" But no matter what, we shalln't give up hope easily. You're with me, right? "

"I mean, I told them to leave, Frances." Jet looked at her. Even him, who wanted nothing more than riches and glory, had decided he'd be the only Rogue to stay behind and possibly stare death in the face. "They wouldn't just abandon me, and I know it. That's why I had to tell them to leave. I'm not risking their lives like this. But yeah. You and I are together now."

She slowly smirked as she unpocketed her hands.
" Well, we'll fight together, won't we? " she said as she held his hands in hers, " Fight together until this war ends. Once the battle is won, everything will be back to normal, and... your friends can come back to you again. "She slowly pulled him into another hug, nuzzling her cheek against his chest rather affectionately.
" I won't let anybody hurt you, and that's a promise, " she said with her eyes looking at him innocently.

"Yeah," Jet agreed, putting a hand on his hip before hugging her close. "We'll fight this together, and we'll make it safe for the Rogues again. And hey! That's what I'm supposed to say! No one's going to hurt you or it's their life that's forfeit!"

She giggled as she closed her eyes, indicating that she was relaxed and calm. But there suddenly followed a series of loud alarm, which made her jerked up and widen her eyes. She realized that the two of them were found by some of the security bots.
" ... Run. "Automatically, she grabbed his arm and sped out of the alley from the other entrance, and almost dragging the hawk behind. The robots had signalled the other ones by the alarm which was booming loudly throughout the city. The Worthing had pulled Jet to a corner where she leaned against the wall, panting.
" Any plan? " she said as she tried catching her breaths while she started to dig through her backpack.

Ahhhh, I understand what you mean, bud. But you're not the only one who lost interest in roleplaying. Sometimes, as people grow up, they lost interest in some things. Like me myself, I used to be a Sonic fan ever since I was little, but soon left the fandom,,, though I think my love for Sonic is reviving??? I don't know if this can be related, but yeah, people would sometimes lost interest in something. :') It doesn't need to be roleplaying that people lost interest in.
But it's okay, girl. I won't force ya, though I may have to find another boi for the next few years. XD
