As a fellow human with PTSD, I can really feel much of the emotion behind your work. I'm glad you have this expressive and universally understandable method with which to express those things that words can never do justice.

don't mention it, you're an incredible artist. I like graphic design and your style of art is compelling. What do you think of my sculptures? or my photography: [link]
it's strange mostly non-Americans comment on anything remotely interpreted as political, there's still alotta ground to break in this country, to change people's perceptions of the war, since it's an election year and people are up in arms over stuff.

I think Deviant art is a bad sample of how people generally view art. That being said, I think your concepts are interesting but that you should explore lighting and composition to create more impact in your images.

I did, I used composition, you don't think several hundred hours accounts for composition, or taking something in your hands and actually rendering it, versus just digitally enhancing it with a mouse. I also explored lighting, but it's different when you take photos of something that actually exists with a crappy cam, lighting, is kinda whatever helps things show the best, esp. when you work with glass, metal, and stone (something physical that you can feel and touch, but also highly reflective materials.)
In the case of "Shattered Soldier" the reason I used a 5-gal red gas can was to put lights inside of it, so that it would glow reddish.) I also was going to set up a whole installation with that piece having a strobe light rigged to look like a Claymore mine, having a soundtrack play the sounds of mortars whistling, bombs exploding, air-raid sirens, machine gunfire, helicoptor rotors (in a loop) among other sounds associated with PTSD for those walking through the exhibit. I was going to have a fog machine with a hint of liquid smoke & gunpowder scene recreate the battlefield also. All these effects I considered overdoing it. That it might take away from the oriignal presentation. I think I was right, that'd be a good idea for another installation

Your works are so serious and make people thinking about real problems. I like your art very much!

not all of my work is that serious, this is a certain time in my work, when I'd just gotten out of the Service, went through a few strained relationships and felt I had to really express those times and how I felt, by no means do I hope they would mar my talents as an artist of a certaint genre.
