The 1DS Mark III was an amazing camera to shoot with. It was a bit off putting at first as I was used to the much smaller body of my usual XSI, and this was about 10lbs of equipment. In all honesty I've used a camera with over 29 mega pixels and a camera with just 7 and I feel that in my practice it's light and lens that carry the most value. I think not owning a camera of your own plays a very important role in your photography. The practice and observation you're gaining is far greater then someone simply given their tool. You do great now, just think of what you will do in the future.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. But what about noise-reduction and low-light photos, wouldn't that concern the cam body as well? or does the lens affect those mostly?

I never shoot a photograph over 200 ISO due to that very question. Lower ISO will help reduce noise and typically, Low-light photos require either flash stands or tripods in order to help illuminate and stabalize the subject(s), unless the image you are seeking can be acomplished simply through a dragged shutter. Lens almost play more important roles then the body itself so if your concerned with noise reduction or low-light conditions, I suggest using a tripod or white lightening 800-3200 flashes during your action shots and setting up before hand to elimitate such a small neusance. You can actually purchase a small extractable flash for about 150 for cannon and 130 for nikon that will give you a lot more to work with. A flash stand is on my next list of gifts to self <3

I'd agree with the ISO thing. Using even 400 on ISO could bring about unwanted noise.

A tripod and a good flash would sound nice though, since I mostly love taking shots in low-light conditions.

So when is that gift of yours coming? Your birthday perhaps?
