Thank  you very much. Just turned 41. Can't say I feel any 'midlife crisis' or even worse for the wear. A goal is to apply more paint to canvas in the upcoming year, but as an amature/hobbyist I am always under time constraints when it comes to my personal endeavors.

Hi,

The dates are my fault, I never actually set them in the camera, so I think it always defaults to some time ten years ago. Most of the paintings are fairly new, ie. the past three years. I usually put them up as soon as paint them.

I am still trying to find a style I like. I have tried many different ways from dabbing to scrubbing to detailed layering. Then there's how much time do I want to put into a painting. Is it going to be an Alla Prima, or something more involving.

So I guess to answer your question, I am still in that evolving period.

Hey, Mike, I think that it's great to be able to envision and execute new ways to paint. Hopefully you'll be evolving for years. I'm curious to see what develops

Thank you very much. The big advantage of deviant art is that now there's record of y our works. It's easy to go back to an old piece, and consider what worked, and what did not, and apply it in the future.
