I love your astrophotos. They make me want to take up photography, but I just don't have time, plus here the city lights are too strong. Wish I could find M31, but I only know a few constellations, even though I have a star chart

Haha thank you very much. Yes it's quite a fun hobby, kind of hard on my sleep schedule though xD. The pollution here is so strong that I cannot see M31 unless I use binoculars, and even then its super faint, hardly there at all. In darker skies it's supposedly visible to the naked eye. xP Thanks for your interest!

Such lovely photos, especially the astrophotos. Makes me wish I had a good camera... and a better view of the nighttime sky, because there are so many city lights here. I have yet to be able to locate M31, since I can only recognize a few constellations

Your astro shots are beautiful! I can see the progression of your skills with the telescope and software in your gallery. I don't have the proper equipment to do it myself, coupled with the fact I live in the city, but I enjoy looking at the work of others who are fortunate to have the resources and locale.
I have a telescope, but I haven't used it in awhile, waiting for that mac-daddy camera purchase opportunity to roll around..."oh bonus check? where are you????"
Anyway...very nice gallery, I can't wait to see more.

Haha thanks! There's always more to learn eh? Actually I live in a suburn quite close to Los Angeles and the NW is completely bathed in light pollution. However the south has reasonably dark skies and most of the interesting summer objects are in the south anyway. I hope to make a trip to a dark site sometime in the mountains soon! Anyway thanks for the kind comments.

I put simple frames on a couple of recent deviations and really liked the effect. I think eventually I'll frame most my previous photographs too.. when I have more time. >.<

You're welcome! I notice you do most / all your imaging with a video camera. Interesting concept, I can see how it makes collecting alot of exposures very simple. And then you don't need polar alignment, tracking or guiding either! Very cool.

You know after looking at many photos others have taken, I've noticed that sometimes a simple frame really sets the photo apart. Not that any framed photo will look nice, but sometimes a frame can accent certain features. I would try to put frames on some of my photos but I'm just too lazy. xP Maybe after AP tests are over I'll write a program to frame batches of photos..

I wanted to take the user pic with the flash up, but then the flash kept going off and all I would get is a big blank picture of light xP

I just realized these comment thingys don't have edit capabilities. Two things: I misspelled "category" up there so please forgive me. Second, I forgot to say that I'll upload a gigantic amount of other peektures later (Yes, I have taken quite a bit more than THREE peektures in my life xD). Its 3 AM rite now and I want to get some sleep. xP
Btw, the terms "picture", "photograph", "image", and "peekture" all refer to the same thing.

Today I discovered that DA had a whole photography catagory so I made this thing as a personal gallery to put select photographs out of my huge archives. (Many thousands of photographs in the My Pictures folder.... I get trigger-happy with my camera xD) Don't expect much out of these, just a place for me to keep the pictures I like better.
