I do that.
I'm quite heavily into the psytrance scene around here, which is one of the biggest places for it in the country. I'm getting a reputation on the scene for going round randomly "Grrrr"ing at people when a bit mashed! Started having people coming up to me and growling back at parties and raves now, its quite amusing.
Thanks for the comments.

Most of the beard is now gone. Can't believe that at the age of 26 I still have a patchy beard... oh well! Just left with longer hair (which I might shave off again soon) and tasch and goaty.
Its good to be back again. Just glad I started writing again last night, cause it was really starting to get to me.
Hows things with you doing?

I guess it is quite a long trip for the guys. But the wait is always worth it. I might put some of my own writing up...I'm not sure though. I've never thought of them as anything special. I migt put a couple of poems up and see what feedback I get (if any lol)

And I see you are a writer - girl after my own heart I write quite a bit, but don't tend to put it on DevArt. I'll have a look through your gallery sometime, if thats ok And thanks for the comment on my Valentines pictures - they mean a lot to me ^.^

So, I finally got a list up and running for the Link of the Night. If you're not on it (as in, don't get this message, and you want to), shoot me a note, or leave a message or just somehow let me know. Same goes for the instance that you want off the list - please let me know.
Happiness , by .
The Interview , by .
Rusting Bridges of Suburbia , by .
So, I did some peruzing, and earthed up these three pieces.
Happiness is beautiful in its own simplicity, and has a subtle kick to it that I find lacking in a lot of reading these days.
The Interview is an interesting little for-the-stage piece that I found myself cracking up over, all over the place. There's some great humor and dialogue going on here, as well as some great subtle toss-ins for the actors to experiment with. Something I would love to see performed.
While Rusting Bridges of Suburbia might be a little ho-hum subject-wise, the rhythm and control of meter that ~ honestbrutality has accomplished here is impeccable. It takes a lot of practice and a lot of control of vocabulary to get a good rhythm in a slam piece these days, and it's done beautifully here.
Get writing, fuckos. *jesusbite

Ahh that sucks, dear.
I've been single for...*counts*...sometime ever now and it ain't helped me.
Mind you, you can write, so that's always a bonus.

Also, I can't write anymore.
Sucks to be me.

I've been dead, too. But I think I am going to give DA one more try. If you are still around, please send me a line or comment, and we will talk. I always thought of you as one of the better writers here, and I'm sad that you are not writing still.
see you around - D

Thanks for dropping by, raguel. You're one of those rare few that stood out above the crowd for me, so I'm delighted to hear your thoughts on this new piece.
No worries about misinterpretation. I believe that my message that I attempt to instill in a written work is just one possible voice to be heard, no more valuable or worthwhile than any other you might hear if you care to listen. I'm glad that you think about it and listen, so never fear my making a judgement about what you might hear. I'm only inclined to view unfavorably those who don't seem to think or listen and you have already proven many times over to me that you are blessedly free of that condition.
Since you asked a direct question, I'll simply say that my impression is that merit is an objectively measurable phenomenon rather than a purely human construct. The thought that sparked this piece is simply that merit is a much more suitable qualification than nepotism or any other factor that is not determined by an individual's controllable factors. I happen to believe that a civilization succeeds to the extent it is based on the sum of individual resolve, determination, responsibility and control.
Or something like that.
Cheers!
JK

Not sure whether DA will post this (having a bad day on that score) but just wanted to say I've been spending a little time here in the past week and recently submitted something. Thanks for the interest while I was away, I apologize that my need for time away had to keep me from so many worthy people (I would count yourself among these).

Thank you darling, those comments ment a lot to me.
The nipple is sore after sun and mon nihgts, but ok, getting new piercing soon.
I is in a weird mood (as you'll see in my journal) and not to well, been running myself ragged and turned up to work today and puked. Ain't ill, but been eating things that my body is intolerent to and only eating a meal a day and only getting 4hrs sleep a night if I'm lucky. NOT good. And its caught up with me finally today, got sent home and promptly went to sleep for 5hrs. Just drunk a bottle of red wine after doing myself some Proper food and am feeling better.
Hows thigs with you babe?
Hope you is ok. Speak to you later darling.

Mobile libraries were crazy inventions.
Always thought they should've been accompanied by excessive jingly jangly music and dancing elves.
As for mobile comfy chairs i gotta get me one of those.
Didn't some guy nearly get arrested for drivin one down a motorway?
I risk i'd be willing to take i think.
Ooo even better would be my bed on like monster truck wheels cruisin down the street.

Well dear, it just so happens that i rent my room out for just such events as onanism.
Prices are low an if my door is closed no questions are asked.
I'm not resposible if the pictures end up on the internet and i make vast amounts of profit though =]
On a different note, did you find a mobile?
I'll assume it was of the phone variety and not, par exemple, the disco variety.
Although that would also be good.

I didn't like the third stanza of Terminus either. It needed to be there, but I wasn't sure what to do with it, and people couldn't give me suggestions, so I left it there. The end was intentionally blunt. It's the usual style of the cynic to complain but not contribute, and finally, he still whines that his escape plan isn't working.
Maybe one more stanza might have helped to set the stage for the exit...

Wordsmithery should be a word.
I demand it.
Think you best sell your graffited fruit on ebay or something.
Graffiti some exquisite words on there like "wordsmithery" or "triptych" and i'll definately buy them.
Also if you have a spare muse going i could do with one.
Plus some motivation.
