Waking up in a cold sweat, hands trembling as effects from the dream world slowly wore off.Β
This wasn't a nightmare, just a relapse of memories regarding her old life and wishing things were different.Β
Every now and then the woman would reenact some dance moves, her partner mimicking them finding ways to ease it's trainer's grieve when certain motions out of memory would fall back on the on who no longer had a cue.Β
ii. While it was quite late to rouse one of the sleeping Pokemon she decided to handle this on her own.Β
Maybe some coffee would help. What turned into one cup became two, spending the wee hours of the morning going through old newspapers articles.Β
And there it was. An image of her old partner, the last, positive post that made headlines during their last performance. A grin briefly visible as she took another sip from her mug, sighing outwards through her nose as she laid the paper aside and looked down at the previous post. Just another trip down memory lane it seems.Β

(/) The woods was something that didn't scare Annabel Lee, even at night. It was a second home to her, even. She helped this forest grow, even grew the whole thing back when it burned down once. A smile was on her lips as she watched all the fire flies fly around as she walked through the forest. Wearing a blue floral sun dress and had her wedges in her hand. Ivory was asleep in her messenger bag, probably getting her fur on everything in said bag.
"It's so pretty.."
(/) The brunette said as she looked around the lively night life. It usually wasn't this lively, but the girls brought life into the area when she was around. She came about a small clearing, but she felt like something was missing. Oh, she knew! A nice big oak would do great here! She giggled as she rubbed her hands together, green aura emitting from them as she did her magic. With a motion of her hands a grand oak tree suddenly grew. She looked happy with her work until she noticed... what looked like someone?

[π]. Regardless on how beautiful the forest was, this area seemed to lurk with a forboding darkness. Pitch was exactly the case. He had watched the girl skip about and make the woods come alive. That never happened when he was around, so Pitch sensed that they had a power like he did. It almost reminded him of... No, he's not bringing that up. Not now. But he narrowed his silver-golden hues as they were wandering about his clearing. That was technically his territory. He finally decided to speak up, his lithe shadowy form a mere silhouette in the dark.
"I do have to say I'm quite impressed with your powers..."Β
"But you're not welcome here."Β
[π]. The Nightmare King's voice echoed throughout the trees at first, but it eventually came to one direct source as he revealed himself from the treeline. He calmly walked out, hands behind his back in acted benevolence. His being didn't look human at all. Ashy grey skin that reflected a little against the moonlight, spiky black hair and sleek wispy robes to match, slightly rugged facial features. He stopped a few feet away from them, his piercing eyes giving them a quick once-over. He was thinking carefully.Β
"Who are you, anyway? Surely nobody comes around to just play some magic in my domain."

The gifted youth grew tense as the male showed himself. He wasn't human... but neither was she. Annabel Lee took a couple of steps back away from him.Β
"W-Who are you?"
The brunette nervously asked her feline companion slowly hopped out of the girls bag. She growled at the male, her fur sticking up as he bared her teeth. She appeared to be getting in-between the two, as if protecting her owner.
"Your domain? The f-forest belongs to n-no one."

(/) The white haired woman was staying overnight at the zoo. Olly was sick, and the doctor wouldn't make it there until the morning. She wanted to make sure the big cat didn't have any mishaps during the night. Olly was just like Joshua, a son to her but just the furry kind. She let out a sigh as she watched him sleeping in his enclosure, turning around to go use the restroom.
"What the..."
(/) Off in the distance she saw... what looked like a horse? But was all black with glowing eyes. She slowly crept closer, making sure she was really quiet so she didn't spook it.
"You're not part of the zoo, I've never seen you before."

Super sorry for the late reply, I recently got muse for him again and things have been hectic for me as of late....hope you forgive me!
[π]. The Nightmare King didn't go to places unless he felt someone human was there. In this case, there was someone left in the zoo. He had looked about, keeping his nightmare Ebony close by to keep watch. Once he heard that someone was nearby, he decided to reply back. Of course, he wouldn't be there, though.
"She's beautiful, isn't she?"
"Of course she's not part of the zoo...Because she belongs to me. Took me awhile to make her."
[π]. The voice that replied was first everywhere, echoing throughout the air like some supernatural entity. But once Pitch revealed himself, the voice had a source. He stealthily was in front of the dark horse now, the sleek human-like figure giving a toothy grin. Dark clothes, ashen skin, spiky black hair, and silver-golden eyes made up Pitch. His hands were behind his back, demeanor passive and non-threatening for now.Β

[π]. Pitch had been out and about this moonlit night, using his powers for what he did best: scaring children and turning dreams into nightmares. Although this time around, he hung about in the woods because he was at peace with wooded areas. Anywhere there were Darlene woods around the globe, he'd be there. Waiting, lurking, observing... Silver-golden hues lock upon a stranger that had been apparently staring at him. He was just about to speak, when they turned around. He sensed their anxiety was through the roof, and that intrigued him. He sunk back into the shadows, creeping along the trees and following them. It was in the blink of an eye and suddenly he became their shadow. He mused out, almost in a pitying way.
"Is something the matter?"
"The night is beautiful, why run off so soon~?"

[π]. He heard their peep of panic, trying his best to not laugh. This person was quite the easy target, weren't they? He continued to watch them as they descended into a state of fear and worry. He chuckled again, this time making his voice known.Β
"You seem very, very afraid. You do realize that there's virtually nothing out here? Well, except the two of us of course..."
[π]. Two of them? What did he mean? The Nightmare King finally made himself known, stepping out into some light that was available. He could be in the nighttime but he couldn't stand the sunlight. Pitch stood at about 6'7", his entire color palette monochromatic of greys and blacks. Well, except his eyes which were a golden-silver color which reflected like the moonlight. His hair was slicked back and a bit spiky, his clothes sleek and shadowy. His grin became wider, revealing sharp teeth. Fear was a thing he relished most, so he was surprised that the person was already anxious.Β

[.:π¦:.] - The vampire always seemed to like the nighttime. There were few people out and he could hunt whatever he pleased- cautiously of course. Ironically for a creature that needed to feed on blood he barely attacked mortals; but instead went after stray or wild animals. However, tonight was different. Reistr wasnβt too hungry but he hadnβt seen or caught the scent of anything in the area. Instead he spotted something that looked like a mere mortal from a distance... though something seemed off to him. Deciding to try and attack from behind, he soon realized that the closer he got the more uneasy he felt. Maybe he should turn and run before itβs too late. |]

Hands were calmly behind his back, and he was looking at the moon like he would find something useful for it. The Man in the Moon never talked much to him anymore, but that didn't matter. He hated them too, and had a deep desire to kill them. What he was honestly unaware was the creature creeping behind him to get a meal...Β
