I took this image in my early years as a photographer- around 1992-1993. Most likely 1992.
I had gone to that location dozens of times as I tried to get the "right" shot. The sun had to be just right and there was a lot of failiure as I did not have a firm grip on technicalities.
If you go there today you see no vehicles and there are gates up preventing free flow of people walking around oh and tons of heavily armed police and soldiers.
I'm glad I shot this when I did and that you like it

I will attempt to do some more portraiture. I have great natural lighting in my new apartment I've been playing with I just haven't posted anything I've shot. My Mom and my best friend are coming into town so I will probably go out and shoot in Annapolis, DC and Baltimore this month.
