My onix lvl 8 is quicker than my pidgey lvl 13

Hasty is +Speed, -Defense.
Sturdy in Gen IV worked as if you used a OHKO move, it would live; but they changed it in Gen V+

Sturdy, in this case would ONLY work with Fissure, Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, and Guillotine. What did your Onix know?

Well, no one "sucks at a Nuzlocke." 
You'd be surprised though. Pokemon damaging moves are based on Random Number Generators so the variety of HP can differ when attacking (thus resulting in critical hits).
I actually did that insane SoulSilver Wedlocke...man.

Get the Watering Can in Goldenrod, head north, and you'll be able to fight Sudowoodo. If you keep on heading north (I think), you'll hit Ecruteak City.

Watering can is in the same place as in Goldenrod. The house is LITERALLY right next to the gym. You can't miss it.

Get that, head north, and you'll run into a tree. Sudowoodo should be about Lv 20-25.

I dunno if this is just a distribution glitch from Japan to Amerrica, BUT the 3DS XL likes to freeze. Yeah, it's not fun..so I would stay with the XL till this issue is fixed!
