Tell me why I would???? I am in desperate need of motivation right now. I've been so busy with the rest of my life that I've allowed my painting to be pushed to the back burner.

Why would you? Because I'm the best motivation around! Seriously, it helps to know that your work will be looked at by a whole group of people devoted to the same ideas, so if you share the ideas, you should think about joining. Especially these days since it's the Renaissance of the group.
Another thing that would motivate you is being involved in artistic things that aren't painting per se. For instance, discussions among artists. We opened a forum on my personal account and there's one as well in the group. Maybe you could get new ideas for your work there.
So, all I can say is this: if you like the Remodernism manifesto, then you should consider joining. Being part of a group will be both motivating and rewarding, as the people of your group will want to check you out more than others.
And as a last resort, I offer free kicks in the butt to anyone who needs that kind of motivation.

I knew the kick in the butt proposal was unrefusable... So, welcome to the group! I'll get you in the official list and everything; all you have to do is let me know under which category you'd rather be (Painters, Photographers, etc.) and I'll do it.
As an aside, you may choose a piece of yours to feature in the group's gallery, and send us a note with a link, and I'll submit it. That's all!

I am working on a piece to enter in the traditional art contest that I would like to use as my featured piece in your gallery. Sort of an homage to my recent ass-kicking.

I am honored that you would like to see some of my work in print form. However, I am right in the middle of rebuilding my computer because of hard drive failures.
That means the original pictures are on the old drives, and until I get around to retrieving them (as you know prints require very high dpi) I cannot make the prints.
When I do recover the images I will turn what I have into prints.
