Thanks so much! All of the people on the covers are either celebrities or models. I like to use them because it's SO much fun to root for that specific person if a movie actually does get made. (Although none of my choices have been victorious thus far ... sigh) :) (Smile)

Hey! I just saw your mock book covers through a friend and I just want to say that they are really really beautiful and amazing! I must ask, how to you make them? And where do you get your pictures and stuff? I'm also a aspiring book cover designer (and author) so I am curious.

Hi! Thank you so much! I make them on Paint Shop Pro 8 (it's SUCH an outdated version but I taught myself everything on it so I'm used to it) It's hard to explain how I make them. I started designing when I was thirteen and I just played around with techniques on my program and Googled tutorials and stuff.

I get the pictures from stock image sites. The two I use most frequently are sxc.hu and deviantART. (Just go to Resources & Stock Images on the front page)

Hey! That's really cool! I use mostly free photo editing services like Pixlr but my school has photoshop, so I've been using that.

wow! your work is amazing!!!! Ever looked into figment.com? It's where you write books/stories and 'publish' them so they get read online and you can get feedback. You have to have covers for your writing so if you made an account, I bet you'd have a lot of people wanting your work. If you do look into this, let me know!
