There are many, many amazing artists on DA, and there are many ways of getting their interest.

You can comment on your original fourm post to “bump” it up to the top. Only reply back to your original comment to keep things tidy.

Make sure to include how long the project may take, what art style you’re looking for, if it’s going to be paid or not, and also a quick summary of your novel would really help.

Keep sentences and paragraphs short and use bullet points to help space things out.

Try also posting and looking in:
-The Job services fourms, to search for artists: forum.deviantart.com/jobs/serv…
- The Job Offer fourms, for artists to come to you: forum.deviantart.com/jobs/offe…
- Starcall Fourms, where high quality artists may find inspiration in your work and do your request (for free):

I’m also still quite new to DA so my knowledge of where to contact great artists is also limited. You might have to do some exploring to find the perfect artist for you.

And don’t limit yourself only to Deviantart, try:
-Drawcrowd
-DesignCrowd
-Art Station
-Concept.org
-behance

Thank you for your very helpful reply. It is much appreciated.

After blundering around in here for the past few days, I realize that I need to do what you suggested first. I will go back and work up a coherent summary, some style ideas that I have in my mind, and come to grips with how much this will cost me.

For me, this is a vanity project unless I can find a publisher for the graphic novel after my book goes up for sale.

So, I have another question. My favorite illustrations are by a company called Crossgen. How should I describe what I am looking for?

I say go ahead! What’s the worst that could happen is that they decline, but that’s okay - you can ask them to recommend you some of other artists aswell. This rejection means it gives you an opportunity to find a company that will accpet your offer aswell. Best of luck to you~

i just watched the first 3-4 years - i had an other accout before but i didnt knew my password and my old mail was deleted.. and since two years here i just watched ppl hahah like a stalking cat and be actie around 4-5 month

and being actie is so much more fun ^^
