It's actually oil paint.
I did it in college. I need to fix up this picture- correct the levels.
But yeah- oil paint, with very little paint thinner.

I am a fan of robots.
It is surprisingly hard to find artist with a good sense of... plausibility and design. know what I mean?

basically it's nice to see joints that might work, and not just someone's arm with bands draw across it- like cable.

I've actually had a couple of people request tutorials. I'm not sure how well I could do a "tutorial," as I don't feel I'm good enough to be giving advice to others on what to do, but I think I could give people tips and tricks based on my own workflow.

Thanks, I have been reading Wapsi for 4 or 5 years. Thank YOU for all of the hard work. I admire your ability- your style is loose, but your drawings of Monica's face from all angles is consistent. That's really hard, especially with your type of style, but you pull it off very well.

So, thanks for:

-the hard work of producing this comic for years- and updating regularly!

-for inventive story telling. the side stories, the drama, the weaving of ideas and plots, even with just a small strip 5 days a week- it all flows. Your hard work is evident. I think you are taking a creative approach to your subject matter, and all of your characters are strong.

-and lastly- for having your own voice in drawing. Your style is incredible, admirable. Gloriously original. Your expressions are usually spot on- the body language is great as well, and your characters actually change their hair and clothes!

Keep up the hard work.
I am glad to see a lot less bad news about your child. I hope things are going well.
