{ //was at the Kurain village to make a little surprise for her lil bro }
{ //not really 'little', more like huge surprise }
{ //but to her, she felt like edgeworth needs some closure first }
{ //asked one of the ladies there to channel dadworth }
{ //when dadworth appears- makes a curtsy }
"Hello. My name is Franziska von Karma."
{ //has her hand stretched out in proclamation }
"And I'm here to take you to my little brother, Miles Edgeworth."

/ dadworth didn't expect anything tbh
/ after being channeled that one time for the case, he thought that'd be it
/ but all the time he wishes he could be with miles- yet wants him to move on
/ was moving to take his hat off to bow when he saw her
/ but,, he didn't have his fedora so instead he just played it off and bowed anyways, using that hand
/ was about to greet her in return,, but paused
/ quickly putting together what she said
/ so apparently the von karma's adopted miles and,,Β
/ he was actually unaware that manfred had a kid,, well then
/ small smile appears on his face- or well, the face of the lady who channeled him
" Greetings, it's a pleasure to meet you. "
/ stands straight back up
/ shakes his head slowly
" Are you sure it's a good idea that he sees me? I don't wish to stir anything if he's doing well. "
/ he's,, hesitant to go see him, as much as he'd love to

{ //briefly narrows eyes to observe dadworth a bit closer }
{ //approves of the dadworth }
{ //at least, he's polite and friendly enough }
{ //was rather expecting some dislike since it was her papa that got him killed }
{ //with that thought, it brings up some guilt }
{ //the thoughts of guilt is shoved way at the back of her mind }
{ //with all the arrogance in the world probs- }
{ //makes a smug grin as she crosses her arms }
"Of course! Miles Edgeworth needs some closure, at the very least. It's absolutely foolish to think that he doesn't need to meet his own papa once."
{ //everything would just go perfectly }
{ //all for her lil bro's sake and dadworth }
{ //starts walking to the doorway }
"We must hurry as well-"
{ //briefly tightens the whip in her hands }
"I precisely know his trial today ends at 4. And it will be done to the absolute perfection. I suppose you can meet the foolishly foolish fool, Scruffy, his loyal detective."

/ he's honestly not aware that it was manfred since he was already knocked out at that point
/ but he doesn't like him in general tbh,, but that's no reason to feel the same about franziska
/ he just feels a bit iffy about miles being taken in by the same man he accused of fasifying and hiding things
/ which caused oh so many issues later on,, and he kind of lied to protect miles
/ rests both hands at his side
/ softens his gaze a bit,,,
" What type of closure did you have in mind? ...I'll go, but if he starts to seem distressed by me being there, I'd like to leave at that point. "
/ slowly starts to follow her out
/ he certainly noticed the whip and ?? he's not sure how he feels about it
/ and perfection seems to be a theme so far,, she's also saying 'fool' a ton
/ mentally taking notes on everything
" He's an attorney? I'm going to assuming he's a prosecuting attorney, from the way it sounds. 'Scruffy'...? You don't really seem to have a very high opinion of him. "

{ //rather not think over her papa's own failings and crimes }
{ //keeps on going }
{ //but looking straight ahead- one could see a limo in the distance }
{ //scoffs }
"What kind of closure? He would obviously like to know that you're proud of him! Isn't that what all offspring want of their parents?"
{ //tbh dadworth was lucky that he's a ghost and in a medium's body }
{ //cause Franziska wouldn't mind to use that whip either but oh well }
{ //briefly pauses before she gets in the limousine }
{ //right, there's some things that dadworth wouldn't know }
{ //closes eyes and nods }
"A prosecutor,yes. He won awards for 'King of Prosecutors' once. And some international cases as well."
{ //pfff its not he helped her with the smuggling ring incident }
{ //gets riled up at the mention of 'Scruffy' }
{ //holds her whip in both hands and snaps it }
"Only a fool would have a high opinion of Scruffy! He messes up constantly, tells defense the prosecution's secrets."
{ //soon huffs }
{ //makes a smirk }
"But he is Miles Edgeworth's very loyal detective. Always running cases and errands."

outoftime. here's my super lame starter--
In Lady Death's book, ghosts were a ceaseless end of trouble. Refusing to properly move on and causing a ripple in the proper flow of things, and then, if they get to the point of losing themselves, they become poltergeists and cause physical violence to the living, losing their old minds entirely, and it would be at that point that the soul would have to be extinguished from the universe entirely.
Reports had been being fed to the first of the Reapers for days now, and she had finally gone to see what all the fuss was about in the first place. Apparently there were no signs of anger or violence as of late, but a spirit sighting was still a cause for concern, and the female would prefer to handle the situation sooner rather than later, no matter how much it annoyed her.
She looked very much the professional legal type as she stepped into the building, the humans who actually worked there giving her a bit of a wide birth as she walked to towards the elevator containing the male spirit, uncomfortable in her pencils skirt and heels, but putting up with it for the time being. Stepping into the electronic transportation as it binged its entrance, a simple wave of her hand caused it to malfunction and shut down entirely, and it would remain so until her business here was finally taken care of; no matter how long it took. She had all of eternity, after all

Dying... From what he believed to be a gunshot from his son by an accident, what a way to go. Though he hasn't really left the place at all, besides the one time he was summoned by a spirit medium and lied about who the killer truly was. Not that he knew the correct killer in the first place. Only believing it to be his son after he'd passed out when the gunshot rang out. The real killer, was unknown to him.Β
He'd done his best to stay out of sight for the long years he'd been in the elevator, only wishing to see his son once again and try to make contact of sorts. Though... He'd only seen his son pass by and head for the stairs, once he'd grown up and became a prosecutor which was when he returned to the court building. The only mistake he'd made at keeping out of sight was when he'd seen his son and made himself only slightly known when someone else was nearby, which caused a slight uproar in the building.Β
He didn't want for anyone to try and remove him, no, so he stayed out of sight once in the elevator. Watching people go in and out of the elevator in the court house became more of a 'pass time', if anything. However, this time something felt off and he knew his suspicions were correct when the elevator was shut down. It's startled him, enough for him to almost panic even if there was nothing to worry about anymore. The elevator shutting down was the main reason he died. He stayed silent, watching her, only hoping that she'd try and contact someone to get it operating again, but the strange hand motion the other had made, seemed like she had... wanted it to shut down.

Once Diana was confident the elevator would not be so easy to start up again, she turned on her heel away from the door, her once human looking orbs closing for a moment as she removed the glasses from her face, the object puffing out into shadowy wisps, and when her eyes opened again, they were swallowed entirely in black. Whoever this woman was, she was certainly not human...
"Gregory Edgeworth..." she started, her voice like a soft breeze but holding the power of a tornado, "there is no use hiding from me. I know you're here already," she continued, black eyed hues flickering over to, shockingly, the exact area he was standing in

The ghost watched, silently, rather confused as to why she was calm, though it was becoming very clear to him as he determined the situation that this wasn't the normal elevator shutting down kinda day. He was startled, if not more so when the shadowy wisps and the glasses vanishing 'in' them. He maintained his silence however, his thoughts were racing almost. Her eyes almost frightened him, had he not of tried to logically evaluate him being a ghost and all, he would've been very, very frightened.
With her gaze on the spot where he was standing, he could feel that he thought she wasn't human but he couldn't bring himself to firmly believe his own conclusion of the entire situation. He did his best to make his presence known, as much as he could anyways. With the elevator shut down he had no way of gaining energy to materialize himself very effectively, "...Yes?"

The female couldn't help rolling her eyes as he tried to materialize, able to see him easily whether he wished her to or not. Her arms crossed over her chest before leaning against the doors of the elevator, gaze returning to the dead lawyer and watching him for a long moment of silence that seemed to drag out for hours.
"You have prolonged your existence in this realm..." she near growled, her eyes narrowing upon the other, "unfortunately, I cannot guide a soul against its will. So, you may either follow me now, or drag your existence out and become violent and angry"
π: 0 β©: 1
vigiIant In reply to O-nceUponANightmare [2015-03-06 18:17:23 +0000 UTC]
He was rather confused at to what he was rolling her eyes at or for, but he didn't ask. He watched her idly as the silence continued. He surely would've relaxed, but he was far from beginning to even. He moved a hand to his fedora, holding onto it as he continued to look her over in that long silence.
He gave a small nod, very well acknowledging his quite long stay, "Yes... I am aware." He paused, his gaze shifting from her to the elevator doors for a moment before he looked back at her, "...I'd rather not leave the elevator before I get a chance to talk to my son." It was highly unlikely he'd enter the elevator at all, not that he knew that. He had no clue he'd gained a fear of elevators and made to avoid them as much as he possibly could.
π: 0 β©: 1
O-nceUponANightmare In reply to vigiIant [2015-03-07 16:48:31 +0000 UTC]
The woman couldn't help the snort of derision at his words, her expression becoming that much more annoyed as her arms crossed tighter. This was the reason she disliked dealing with those who wouldn't move on properly. Always that whole "last request" business, even when it was an impossibility.
"Unfortunately for you, it would seem your child avoids elevators these days," she huffed out in answer, deciding to tell him the ugly truth; that's what she was after all. The ugly truth of the world, "he appears to have gained a phobia of them, so procuring an actual meeting might not happen," she explained, her eyes narrowing further until they were thin slits.
"What sort of business do you have with him anyway?" she huffed out, her posture shifting as she pushed off of the doors and began to walk closer towards the male spirit
π: 0 β©: 1
vigiIant In reply to O-nceUponANightmare [2015-03-08 04:43:40 +0000 UTC]
Gregory furrowed his brows, his grip on his fedora tightening, if only slightly. He'd noticed that he avoided the elevator, but he had no idea he actually had a phobia of them, but it was understandable if he thought about it. Having a phobia of what deprived you of oxygen after an earthquake and to find your father had died with the gun he'd thrown his way in order to try and help him, it was so very understandable. But... He just could hope the stairs would be out or not in use one day so he may finally speak with him,Β "I've noticed, I've spotted him plenty of times avoiding use of the elevator." He muttered, his gaze still not moving from her and not particularly focusing on one specific point either, but he had noticed the change in her eyes for sure.
"I wish to tell him that I love him and it's not his fault." He spoke, rather sure of exactly what he was to say. He planned on no more than just that or no less. Gregory followed her movements, his tight grip on the fedora not loosening up, "That is all, even if he's just barely outside the doors and alone, that'd be enough for me." He had been summoned by a spirit medium almost right after his death... But he was only forced to say who the killer was and he lied even, just to protect his son. Only allowed to say that, nothing else besides the killer's name.

June 22; Misc bodies found in scattered points, murderer unknown.
Jeff scoffed lightly as he read the headline, feeling a bit understated. Not even a lead, pathetic.
He continued to scan the paper as he walked along, hoping that someone, anyone was at least
curious. Reading down a bit, he suddenly smiled, the old scars that had reformed over his cheeks
stretching. It read, ' though the murderer is unknown, a photo reveals that the suspect is around
21 and has deep scars on their face. They wore a thick hoodie and it covered the rest of their face.
It is not determined if the suspect is male or female. Witness says that suspect's hoodie is stained nearly
completely red, an important factor. '
Turning the paper over, he released it into the wind, smiling and pulling the hood of his overshirt on his head,
pulling it tight and shoving his hands in the pocket. He looked around for a moment before
turning his gaze to the ground, nearly slamming into a man who had been coming the same direction.
Rather foolishly, he looked up, the red scars in his cheeks flashing in the late afternoon sunlight.
" 'Scuze me. " he sighs, before continuing on. Suddenly, there was a pull on his arm; someone clinging tight to his sleeve.

Gregory of course read the headlines, he wasn't very fond of cellular news feeds and newspapers were something in fact he had to read for his job and just because he enjoyed showing the comics to his son even if he didn't seem to take interest in them. He'd received the papers as soon as they came out that day, leaving it at home of course, he didn't want to bring it with him to work just in case he was made to defend a suspect in court, he didn't want to to effect him in his work after all. Though the fact someone with a bloodied hoodie could possibly get away baffled him.
He'd seen the paper fly by near him, furrowing his brows as he walked from the Grossberg offices. Littering was a petty crime, but it still was something to be mentioned to whoever had let the papers go by. Not that he knew who had done it of course. It was only the near run and the sight of something red that made him turn his attention towards the man in front him as he now began to walk past once again. He quickly turned to stop the other, grabbing at the sleeve, "...It's alright. But I'd like to let you know, you have something on your face..." He more or less wanted to know what the red was, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He's seen plenty of criminals and he had good deductive reasoning, but he couldn't shake it that he's at least 'seen' the outfit before, or at least it feels like it.
