The night canvas painted with stars hung high over the city that was awake, engulfing everything in darkness. The messy haired blonde boy felt his nervous hands quivering, slowly extending his finger towards Jesse's doorbell. Stan's other hand gripping his blue backpack to his chest lightly; emerald green eyes sullen with the insomnia shadow darker than usual. His bright green eyes contrasted against his white pale sickly skin, a breath dancing out of his mouth into the cold air.

Jesse on the other hand, had groaned loudly upon hearing the doorbell ring so late at night. Probably one of those salesmen who just wanted to scam people. Nonetheless, he'd answer it anyway, just to have a good bit of late night trolling. That always set himself in a good mood before bed. He rubbed his eyes lazily and rolled off of the bed, looking into the hallway to make sure that whoever it was didn't wake up Nolan. Luckily, he hear nothing, nor saw any sign of his brother being awake. He sighed in relief and strolled down the steps, his eyes still half lidded and yawns coming one by one. Once he approached the door, he peeked through the eyehole. What he saw was not expected, at all for that matter. Stan. His eyes went wide and immediately, he grabbed the doorknob and yanked it open, those green eyes of his still wide in a mixture of shock and happiness. "S-stan!" He cried, about to say more, yet realizing that the boy was a lot more tense, a lot more sullen and nervous than usual. The excitement in him dropped, the feeling being replaced with nervous energy. "Are... are you okay...? Did something happen...? Wait, getting you inside would be a good idea, wouldn't it...?" He murmured to himself, ushering the older male inside.

Stan slowly shook his head, feeling his teeth bite down on his bottom lip. Blood began to ripple down his chin from biting down too hard, his hands gripping the midnight colored knapsack more. The pale blonde haired boy stumbled backwards a bit, struggling to force the words out of his mouth that were caught in his throat, "I killed someone, Jesse.. I.. I.."

Jesse was surprised, seeing him stumble backwards, seeing him shift away from him. He opened his mouth to speak, but he was interrupted. The words coming out of his lover's mouth made even more adrenaline shoot through his systems. It sent shivers down his spine, and he found himself unable to talk for a moment. Then, a laugh. But it wasn't his ordinary, peppy laughter. It was a nervous one. "G-good one, Stan... You... Almost had me believing you there..." He responded, another small chuckle leaving his lips. No, Stan wouldn't do that. Sweet, adorable little Stan would never do such a thing, he'd never hurt a fly... He had to have been joking.Β

"I-It was an accident.." His eyes were brimming with tears, the shaky words emitting from his bloody lips. It was obvious that Stan had gone over the edge. He had lost it. He gasped large quantities of air, swallowing more and more while he struggled to breathe. Stan's pupils were enlarged greatly, leaving a faint green color to outline the large circle, "I.. I.. I can't stay with you anymore, Jesse.. I-I'm a murderer.. and.. and.. I need to go.. I need to get out of here.."

"S-stan..." Jesse frowned, knowing now that he was speaking the truth. He heard it in his voice, watched his body language, saw his eyes... He snapped. And Jesse failed to prevent that. He felt his own throat closing up, his stomach bubbling up with anxiety. Upon the next words leaving the other, though, he shook his head softly. "N-no..." He murmured, taking a step forward and enveloping the other within his arms, his grasp firm. "No... no no no... You're not leaving me too, I won't let you... I can't." He murmured, shaking his head once again. "I... I don't care if you've killed someone, okay...? I... You said it yourself, it was an accident..." He murmured, tears threatening to form in his own eyes, yet he prevented them from coming. "Please... please don't leave me..."Β
