Hey guys, thanks for visiting my deviantART page. Feel free to browse and heart my stuff. I only add what I consider as the best artwork to my favorites. Even if you comment on all of my creations, do not expect me to do the same for yours! Sorry but I must be honest if I want others to be honest with me.
I NEVER modify my shots through programs such as Photoshop. The only computer modifications I dare to make are the following:
- Converting the photo file to another format.
- Turning the color of a photo to black & white or sepia.
NONE of my shots have been manipulated. This means that what you see is what you get. The colors are real, the things seen in them are real, nothing was added, nothing was taken away. Some shots have different tones - example: some are darker than others because I manually set the contrast, lighting and focus of my camera, but nothing has been modified externally though a computer or by similar methods.
Many so-called photographers edit their shots heavily before uploading them... But it's not a DA-only problem: Magazines, like National Geographics for example, are struggling to find out whether or not the shots that are being sent to them are real ( they edit the contrast/brightness, add something to the picture to make it more "interesting", etc ). Modifying your shots through computer programs isn't illegal of course, but it's proof that you cannot make what you wanted when you made the shot: It means you lack something, and you will never be able to work on that unless you master the real product. Honesty is required if you want to be respected in this business... And that's why I am telling you that I do not, nor will I ever modify my photos. So for those who use computer programs ( such as photoshop ), PLEASE tell everyone that you are doing this ( it's nothing to be ashamed of and you're most likely to be rewarded with good comments concerning your hability to modify pictures ), and put your stuff in the DIGITAL art department instead of photography.
Of course I don't HATE those who modify their shots... Just those who don't tell anyone about it. As I said, it's all about honesty.

USING MY DEVIATIONS

I don't take myself that seriously as a photographer, but, alas, in order to preserve my integrity, I have to talk about the following topics. It's not that I am agressive and reclusive, it's just a matter of establishing a strong, legal base to use should I have to face a possible case of art thievery:
I do NOT allow my photography to be used in any form without my approval. I do not allow my art to be featured on the internet without my knowledge, even on websites such as Wikipedia. If you use one single piece ( and by this I mean one single pixel ) of my artwork without my approval, expect an immediate, aggressive and punitive legal battle.

Ouais j'ai toutes mes vieilles photos, j'en ai uploadé un peu, je vais voir si je vais uploader le reste mais pour l'instant j'en ai au moins 50 nouvelles à mettre, ça va être long mais j'en upload trois ou quatre par jour!
C'était moi qui avait deleté mon vieil account j'avais trop de watchers et c'était le bordel un peu partout ( plusieurs photos étaient pas de la même résolution, ça m'avait l'air moins compliqué de recommencer à zéro ).

Ok, tant mieux. J'avoue que moi-même j'ai parfois envie de faire ça à cause de tout ceux que je watche (526). J'ai maintenant 10,127 deviations à regarder et il y en a toujours au moins une de plus par jour. Aïe.

Cool! You know, about five years ago when I was on DA, I received critique like this and at first I wasn't really happy about it but in the end I figured out it helped me a lot! Keep it up!
