*it was midnight in a big city, the skyscrapers pierced the sky, but not all was black, light flickered on and off at times and the flutter of bat wings sounded through the city, the crows joined too, on the ground there was no movement, all were abed in this seemingly abandoned city... or were they?*
me:"hmmmmm i was told to meet someone here, i guess they're late" she said as shew drew out her phone to check the time.

*The stars shone above the ramshackle buildings, the clarity of the sky allowing them to cast a dazzling white light onto the shattered and in-tact windows of the looming city. Darian stalked through the streets, his bright orange sunset eyes impaling the nighttime darkness. His eyes cast down to his watch, the glaring digital numbers across his wrist taking a few moments to sink in. "Hmmm.. 11:30pm. She should be here.. Somewhere." He looked up, his concentration often flickering to the flutter of a bird or the flicker of a streetlight. Darian was about to turn away, but a figure in the corner of his eye grasped his attention. It was most certainly the person he was told to speak to, no one else dared to walk the streets of his barren city alone, they ran the risk of running into people like himself. He began towards the girl, his eyes locking onto them and not daring to shift.*
