I love your TF2 props, i'd kill to get my own scattergun or Force a nature. If I could recommend a possible future prop I'd recommend the Pyros Flaregun or if you wanna go a bit bigger the demos pipe launcher. Keep up the good work and keep creating them awesome props! ^^

Hello! I was wondering if I could perhaps commission you for a weapon. I am going to comic con in New York. Also, about price

Amazing work!Β I was wondering... How difficult would it be/costly for you to make a Colt M-4 Carbine look like a Mass Effect rifle.Β I'm thinking the M-29 Incisor.Β Obviously they wouldn't look completely alike, but I think it would be cool if I could do something to my M-4 other than just a new paint job.Β

You make props, and you're a gunsmith? For real? Color me impressed! I've seen many artists (including Blizzard's) who don't understand how guns function at all, and their work suffers for it. I see you're in Irvine, where Blizzard's headquarters are. Go knock on their door and explain why you can load shotgun shells into a blunderbuss, okay?
Your props are top notch! Do you do commissions?

Thanks! I think those artists have their hands full, Probably not a lot of time for the range for them! I myself haven't been in a year or so. Usually artists and guns dont get along, maybe that's the reason you're impressed with it!
Sadly, I'm not in Irvine anymore but might move back within a month or so.
Yes, I do this for a "living" so commissions are something I do. Although, they are quite rare as most people have no clue how much time these things take. (they get expensive)
Selling resin kits is the norm nowadays!
Thanks for the comments!

That's true. I'm sure they are very busy. And yeah, artists and guns . . . LOL!
I imagine! Having worked on sculptures and miniatures, I'm not quite sure how anyone makes commissions affordable.
Good luck!

How much do one of those Mass Effect replicas go for? They look amazing!
Also; you should make Han Solo's blaster.

Hey you have some great stuff, I'm curious what materials do you use to make the props?
π: 0 β©: 1
zanderwitaz In reply to CanadianViscount [2012-04-20 04:04:50 +0000 UTC]
Mostly MDF, styrene, and PVC. do a search for "zprops" on facebook or google and you can find my build logs. And thanks!

Very amazing stuff, you totally need to make a replica of a DMR, Assault or Battle Rifle from the Halo games. Keep it up!

zanderwitaz In reply to Klih [2012-03-21 00:35:24 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I might do one as a commission someday, but I dont have a strong personal interest in halo. although with enough spare time, I may give the spartan laser or the needler a go!
