Yeah he is. just the other day I was eating a microwave meal and he hopped up beside me and started batting the tray trying to pull it over to him. One time I was eating a cinnamon role and he was there beside me tapping the plate, when I asked him if he wanted to lick the plate he replied with a quick assuring "Meow!"
