WOW!! What a unique shot! Can't give technical advice, though what captured me first are the color reflections of tunnel (illumination), wonderful!
Β Bronze, gold give a warmth relaxing sensation.(May I say, a guiding light inside the tunnel?)Β The cars contribute to movement toward end of tunnel. Well done!! It fits its title!! Β Β

What a result!!Β Β The reason I asked you was , I thought, its dangerous and impossible to step out. So taken from the car in movement from window was the only answer. Picture was so precise!! Seemed that you where standing out there in the middle of tunnel. Great ability compliments!
All the pictures I take while in movement in car come out almost all crappy (in or out of tunnels!!!!)!!Β

I actually read up some months ago on how to take the best car photographs, because sometimes I cannot get out for one reason or another and there might be something I want a picture of.. so I read a whole bunch of articles on the topic of how to both stop movement when you are moving as well as how to accentuate it.. I decided how I wanted the end result to look like, and went with what I had read on how to make that happen best.. I also took several pictures in case we hit a bump or something imperceptible to me at the time to lessen the effect somewhat. This is only the third one I took from a moving car..and the advice's I read seem spot on!

The colors and lighting work very well with the use of perspective.
It is an image that would translate well to several medium also, which is something I always like because I work in several medium.
The blue lights places like eyes, front and both sides hurt my head a bit, but that is probably my migraines talking.
I also see a little movement in the image, is it time lapse? Not that I do not understand the difficulties of taking an image in a busy road.
The combination of a reflective ceiling with regular lights along a perspective tunnel works well. The ceiling is dark rather than light but is reflective, the floor is light but matte, the walls are lit and patterned. It blends well.

I'll keep what you said about the blue in mind, perhaps keep people who get migraines in mind when I take various shots too.. the movement was my own, we were going 70 mph when the photo was taken, as there was no way of stopping anywhere near the tunnel, too many cars at too high a rate of speed.. I wanted a slight effect of movement without it being too much, so I pointed the camera forward, and used a normal shutter speed.

Nice shot! AndΒ I saw that phone booth and I thought to myself that it must be in Europe, we don't have booths anymore. They attract to much crime and were a public health menace.

Nope, not in Europe. The phone booths were originally put in when the tunnel was built for safety, so that people could call for help if there was an accident or break down, and most likely stayed because even after the advent of cell phones there is no cell signal in the mountain... at some point they will simply stay for historic value. Well done bringing out the blue/gold contrast; it really make the piece shine. Also, the skewing of the end of the tunnel from the exact center of the frame gives the piece some nuance beyond the simple geometry of a focal point at the center. Excellent shot!

It's the East River Mountain tunnel in Bluefield..took the pics on a trip to Lovettsville as we pass through both tunnels ( which go through both East River Mountain and Big Walker Mountain) in order to get there..the nicest pictures were in the East River Mountain though, and that is the one posted here.

It is just cool. Love the movement of everything except of the car. It gives somehow the movement to it too
I also like the colour balance here. The yellow isn't annoying and blue is just perfect here. White appears quite white but one doesn't have a feeling of cool sunlight and it suits the picture perfectly
Also this reflection of the red light is just way too coolΒ Β

Lol.. actually, not through the window, but rather, out the window.. I didn't want to get window glass in the shot, so I held the camera outside the car and took shots.
