If your neck of the woods is anywhere around the Kentucky - Southwest Virginia border then it probably is! This was taken at Breaks interstate park.. this is the lake there. The park is just a few miles from our house..

Nope! I'm in upstate New York near the Canadian border. It's amazing how different parts of the country are so similar! Someday (when I retire) I want to visit all the states!

If I were you I would take vacations and see some things prior to retirement. I never expected to become disabled, and for the things I would like to do its so much more difficult now. I wanted this weekend to photograph the rapids and any whitewater rafting and such that was going on.. but I couldn't walk down there, I tried, got half way but had to go back because I couldn't do it..Β now cant get out of bed.. lol..you just never know what might happen in life, may as well do as much as you can while you know you can.Β

You are absolutely right, but....finances here prohibit vacations...that's why (once I talk my hubby into it) when we retire, I'll sell this old house we're living in and use that for fun...it's sucked enough money out of us over the years, I figure it'll be payback. Β I commend you for trying to do what you did!

Thank you so much! I went a week ago to take some photographs but the colors just weren't quite there yet.. so I held off til this weekend in the hopes the colors would be a bit deeper and in greater amount , and it definitely paid off!
